yep, I am a car guy too. I find I can appreciate just about any american, italian, german and even certain japanese cars. I only hate on fords, lol, not really but I do love to give friends and co-workers a hard time about them.

I'm a car guy... I've owned everything from GTOs and Chevelles down to a lowly Vega... I dont have any of the Corvettes that I bought in the past, but I still have all six Camaros that I've bought in my life... and there's a reason for that.

Exactly. I can't say that I never have anything negative to say, because I'm a pretty blunt and opinionated person, but I am a firm believer in the "live and let live" thing. There are a lot of cars in my town that just cause me to say "WTF?" every time I see them, but whatever, it's their money and they have to be seen in it, not me.

I have my corvette (its a 90) & my 2010 camaro & I cruise both to shows & the local corvette guys like it.


But I am not joining a corvette club because I am busy with the camaro club lol

There's even been posts on this forum about the frustration. There's Bowtie brothers and then there's my car or no car hero's.

Before it stirs the crap, I love the v8(I own a few). I wanted a cheap(under $25k out the door) daily driver. Didn't mean I had to drive a prius(just the thought made me throw up a little). 26mpg is good enough for me. I'm not insane enough to think it makes just a little less hp than the stock v8. I don't think I can ever make it sound like a v8. I have laid down a 13.8 uncorrected and 13.69 corrected and feel it's decent, but not done. I'd love to get a Nickey or ZL1 but will probably look for an SS when the ZL1 owners get rid of theirs.

Have you asked the V8 guys how much they appreciate the "overcompensation" comments? I see more often than not a V6er getting hurt by some comments and resorting to calling the V8 guys small in the nether regions.....
But then again it doesn't bother me. I drive both the V8 and the V6.

Like I said, it's the internet, grow thick skin or don't bother looking at a computer.

The thing about the pony car concept was the fact that you put a very powerful engine in a smaller car.

The Corvette is a true supercar/sports car, while the Camaro is more of a pony/muscle car. Corvette owners tend to be a little bit on the elitist side considering the price they pay. The Corvette is the corvette, but everybody has known somebody with a Camaro, and it's more of a rustic feeling rather than the aura of awesomeness that is the Corvette.

Simply put, the Camaro is an awesome steak you can get for $20 that everybody can appreciate, while the Corvette is a $100 fillet Mignon.

And likewise, the Ferraris and Lambos are for the even more elitist crowd.

Good, and I hope it's only the minority that feels offended by some comments and refuses to report offensive posts because they are too proud.
