Question tune out high idle

Can you tune the fast idle out? it happens when you first start the car and it idles hight for a bit untill the O2 sensors warm up.

No you can't but it shouldn't idle high unless it's really cold

It needs the startup flare like that to get the engine up and running consistantly every startup.

When your car sits over night and then start it up in the morning. How high do your rpms go? Mine goes to about 1100 rpms for like 30 seconds then down to about 500. Is that about normal?

Yes it is normal. Cold start, open loop, it has to have additional airflow to get up and running smoothly.

its around 1000 rpms but i just hate how my car sounds when it first starts up. I have long tube headers and straight pipes. sounds good at normal idle and driving but that first start up gets to me.
