I'd honestly order a new metallic blue without hesitation, but that would be contingent on what type of blue they offer.

I'd be for a blue that looks unmistakably blue in almost all lighting conditions. A blue that's vibrant in the sunshine but is also dark enough to provide depth. A blue that is a pure blue like the bluest ocean and doesn't appear as a mix of colors such as teal or purple in certain conditions.

Give me a medium blue like that and I'm in.

He wants his ZL1 in Blue, but I see what you are getting at.
Move it to the general forum for more exposure to a wider base?

- Aqua Blue Metallic (2,584 units) — 4.96%
- Summit White (2,655 units) — 5.10%
- Imperial Blue Metallic (2,702 units) — 5.19%
- Red Jewel Tintcoat (3,860 units) — 7.41%
- Cyber Gray Metallic (3,881 units) — 7.45%
- Rally Yellow (5,490 units) — 10.54%

- Silver Ice Metallic (6,156 units) — 11.82%
- Inferno Orange Metallic (6,289 units) — 12.08%
- Black (12,494 units) — 23.99%

Hmm you would think with those numbers summit white would have been
axed as well but its still one of the colors still being offered.

Dark blue has always been my favorite color. I wouldn't have bought my Camaro if it didn't come in IBM. It was a dealbreaker. Even before I got it, I was actively looking for a LeMans Blue C6 Corvette. I won't even consider a ZL1 unless they re-release IBM.

I wouldn't have a problem with them doing a short special run blue, kind of like the synergy green. I just don't want to pay extra for a whole special edition with colored stitching and stuff. Hope they are working on more colors than just the ones we've heard about. A lack of a bright metallic blue is really disappointing.

Somewhat off topic, but I hope that they offer a stitching color besides red on the suede interior option. Saw the blue stitching on a Z06 Carbon today, it was Supersonic blue with the suede interior and blue stitching. Drop dead gorgeous!

And for the record, I would totally rock a Supersonic Blue ZL1!!!!

I'm also wondering what happened to the red and yellow interior accent packages that you were supposed to be able to get at dealerships. They might offer it, but I haven't seen it.

I read it, and read it, and read it again and I still couldn't figure out where you are coming from, or what exactly you're after.

What does a demand of 20k ZL1s have to do with the colour blue? If you are trying to build a business case for blue, why handicap yourself by making it limited to a low volume model within the Camaro lineup?

Slanted Poll Position?

.

As I've said before, I believe it's good to ask for what you want, but for the OP, your poll is a bit too simplistic for GM to take it very seriously. If you've spent much time considering statistics, you know that the way you word them directs the responses into a preferred direction. GM wouldn't put much emphasis on a poll that only offers one color. See what I mean?

Also, I did a poll a while back when we were clamoring for a blue C5, and there was a significant interest in something blue, and the flavor du jour was what we were calling "Dusk Blue" from the SEMA car a while back.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...ue#post3448288

Look at the way the other color choices were included. That's the way a person buying a car decides what they want, considering everything at first.

Honestly, while there are lots of people who love Aqua Blue, there aren't enough - statistically speaking - for GM to not pull the color. The good news, however is that there is interest in a blue. I think there will be another of the blue family, and I would honestly expect they will announce it around the time of ordering.

The logic behind this is that no one with GM credentials has said, "There will be no other colors at the initial ordering date." That is called keeping your options open.

There was so much interest in the Dusk Blue that Fbodfather weighed in telling us that the replacement for CGM would be another of the gray family. He still didn't say there wouldn't be some kind of blue or some kind of replacement for the lost synergy green. (Which would probably be very bold, but not necessarily green.)

It's a strategic decision as to when GM announces things, sort of like waiting until the dramatically appropriate moment for the heroine to confess her love for the hero in a movie. That will make the most impact and have the most lasting effect. Who here doesn't remember Leia's heartfelt "I love you" and Han's perfect scoundrel response, "I know" just before he became a living M&M?

It's a game, and GM is playing to win.

I like that you're trying to generate interest in sales of your color, but I wasn't sure if you wanted 20k orders for ZL1 in total, or the less plausible 20k orders for a blue one. Really, all you need to have your color produced is for the general buying public to choose that color at least 10% of the time.

Stay north of there and you're golden.... Uhm, I mean blue.

I am glad it seems no one likes white. The black highlights on the ZL1 just POP on the white version and I hope mine will be the only one the public buys. The black wheels REALLY sealed the deal. Bring it on, PLEASE!!!
