Although I'm not the final authority on this, since I've been to a few of these type of events I would say no. Go to Old Navy and get yourself some khakis!

FYI - Anyone coming into town for this, that weekend is also a BIG custom hot rod show in town. Turtle and I will be cruising the drag where they will all be hanging out on Friday evening, but their big show is Saturday if you want to get a 2-for car event weekend!!

Thanks Raven. I actually own a pair of khakis. I'm sure the question would have come up. Thanks for the info though. Looking forward to meeting some of you guys in A town. Haven't really been back much since I move from there three years ago.

Hey Everyone,

I mentioned this in the F-body forum as well,

If any Camaro5 members want to hang out after drooling over these cars lets plan something. We can either hit up any one of the 200 bars or resturants in downtown Austin, OR I have a place with a sick pool a few blocks from the convention center.
I was thinking we could set up a BBQ/pool party and drink a few beers.

Turtle I will PM you regarding this and about seeing you tomorrow at Cabela's

Where is the cruise going to take place? You said the Drag... like up on Campus?

I bet there will be a lot of Rat Rods down by the Continental Club! Dale Watson will prolly be on stage too!!

I'm a bit confused. It sounds like the general public will be allowed in after 10:00 a.m. Will we be able to see/sit in the Camaro if we come after then?

No...I was just referring to it as a drag, but not THE DRAG! They hang out on South Congress and if this is your first year in Austin you should totally go down there and hang out that Friday night. All the venues have live music and there are just so many rat rods and custom hot rods that it's almost too much to take in!!

I'm not really sure what access you will have to the cars if you come to just the regular auto show, but this is a guaranteed unrestricted access to the cars...without the general public in your way! Oh, and don't forget the free breakfast!

I totally think we should plan a lunchtime/afternoon gathering since so many of us will be in the same place that day.

We also have a car gathering a bit south of downtown in Buda, TX at the Cabela's every Saturday evening. If anyone wants to stick around for that and wants some more info, let me or SilverTurtle know.

Yes.... Lets start work on that Raven, we have any number of establishments, A few where I can set up something (know the owners) or again, my place is open to yall.

Turtle already recruited me for the Buda show... see you Friday at 7pm!!
