To paint or not to paint 45th anniversary rims?

I've been pondering the idea painting the wheels on the 45th anniversary Camaro. What do you guys think?

1. Leave them alone and don't mess with the 45th anniversary package.

2. Paint them with Cyber Gray Metallic or other dark gray.

3. Paint them with Carbon Flash Metallic or gloss black.

4. Paint them satin black.

5. Plastidip them.

If you're going to paint them, I'd go with Carbon Flash Metallic...

Have them blued by someone familar with the chrome finish used on the chrome Camaro. Its possible they be blued very light hues ................to very dark shades ( indigo aka nearly black in low light ) depending on personal preferences. The luster from satin to............... brilliant. Would be killer on the 45th.

If you paint them, I wouldnt go with the carbon flash... gloss or flat black FTW....cyber gray would probably work too.

Dont get me wrong, the paint is badass on the car, but something about a heavy metallic paint on rims just doesnt seem to go well IMHO. See if you can find a dealership that has one to go look at.

If it was me with this decision, Id be going with the plastidip since its not permanent. Would allow me to decide if I really woud want them a different color or not.

*Edit - Black Chrome would probably be seriously badass.... just sayin

Yeah, I don't think heavy metallic paint on wheels would look good. As far as going to the dealer, I think my 45th is going to be the first 45th or one of the first on the Island.

Just noticed your in PR.

Off topic, but I need to get back to PR. Surfed Aquadilla and Isabella last March and had a blast. Didnt catch it huge but man it was fun. I completely understand why everyone wants to call it Mini-Hawaii.
