Blue Granite Metallic is what I have on my Truck and love it! It doesn't show dirt like a dark grey or black. Can look like a 'neutral' grey in some lights, but is great metallic blue in others.

Here is a pic, not great since I don't wash the truck much, but you get the idea. I think it would be good seller for the ZL1 but I am bias.

Yep, those trucks look great in the sunshine, and I can imagine how a ZL1 would really shine in Blue Granite Metallic.

I am glad that at least someone is campaigning for their color choice to be heard. Aside from the statistics and a business case (of which I could understand), it would be great if chevy could instill a sense of nostalgia in this project.

I believe that a show of enthusiasm for the product from camaro fans should be enough for chevy and gm to at least look at some alternatives in bolstering an effort to produce a few different colors.

The thread as a WHOLE should explain. But, I have left gaps on purpose and some omissions in certain spots on purpose. Glad you DID pic up on a few of them. The gaps that are left intentionally are there for a specific purpose. We won't know the outcome until late 2012 possibly even later...

Statistics? The numbers are low as they can be as far as bright blue; I realize that. Have you checked the popularity or statistics of the official ABM thread?
I have. It outweighs (last time I checked anyway) ALL OTHER official colors on here including BLACK which is at a normally #1 spot statistically. Can you explain why the ABM thread has the most posts in it opposed to all other official colors? (in a new thread please ) Please do not say because it got discontinued as we have several other colors discontinued now and THEY still do not have the popularity behind posts and does ABM.
Per the OP this thread is about nothing other than BRIGHT BLUE or BLUE as a whole.

They simply were not given enough time to buy it. The numbers prove that as the color was pulled just as fast as the car rolled out... It is the rarest color at the time of the discontinuation.
I am about to start researching this phenomenon with Ford and see if there is a pattern or if it is just GM. Please don't mention the oil crises or the paint crises in japan. Those crisis will not ALWAYS be there.
My my! We have seem to sold a lot of blue cars in the last day!
This poll proves it! 37% of C5 members that want a blue camaro opposed to
20% that don't want a blue camaro. Those 20% either already have theyre car or bought another color OR want to drive a FORD!

There will be at least 3 grays from what we know for the Camaro. But not 3 Grays for ZL1 as Carbon Flash from at least from what we know is reserved for 45th only.

Anything can change though. Maybe these COLORful threads will change at least something...

Its not for me. I had settled on IOM.

I am campaigning for C5 as a whole.
I just happen to be the one posting the thread. "Chevy" has instilled a sense of nostalgia in this project or I never would have posted it.

to the degree, I cannot say but it is there.

They sold a lot of lemans blue camaro's back in the 60's and early 70's. They had many names and they were pretty similar.
Lemans blue, marina blue, mulsanne blue and even the new jetstream blue is pretty close.
Dodge did the challenger in B5 blue and it sold very well too.
Come on GM give us the old blue and it will surely sell very well.
