I've just never felt that double sided tape and badges make a "special edition" very special. It just looks like a tacky afterthought. Not meaning to knock anyone that loves their as its all just personal preference. A Z28 or ZL1 is a special edition. A bumblebee is just a marketing gimic unless I get plasma cannons behind the headlights and missiles out the fenders.

Aren't the ZL1 badges fastned to the car via double sided sticky tape just like all other badges???????

Yes but you get a badass engine, suspension and drivetrain to go with it. The transformer editions give you autobot decals and a different bumper. As I said; just not my style.

Correction. They do not come with the gfx. My bad. I just had the picture in my head from when it was announced.

I just had to post my thoughts, haven't been here in a while.

2 years ago when the Camaro was coming out I knew I had to have one. I procrastinated like I do (10k over sticker helped me do this). Eventually they announced the Transformers edition for 2010 and I knew I had to have one. I received it and loved it ever since.

I have 2 boys that absolutely love it and I use them for the reason that I purchased it. I would have bought it anyways but having kids help me look like less of a dork.

I heard that a new Transformers edition would be coming out prior to the movie and when it was announced I fell in love with the new model. The problem is that there really is so much to choose from now. I really love convertibles (having a C6 vert prior to my bee) and I love the new ZL1. The only thing that would make me truly happy right now?

A 45th anniversary Transformers Edition ZL1 Convertible!!

P.S. 1000 was easier to stomach the first time around for the Transformers package, 3000 is a tad much.

I think one reason for the lackluster reception is that there are several other editions out there right now, the TE doesn't come in a convertible, plus it's a makeover of a previous TE from 2010. There's simply more choices out there vying for your Camaro $$. And the $3K option price seems a bit steep for some. But at least it's out there if you want it. That's JMO.

For example, 45th editions are becoming a buzz right now, and they're sweet, but I personally wouldn't have one. I'd hold out for a ZL1 instead if I were going for a 2012. Also, in 5 years, with the 50th, the 45th will be yesterday's news seemingly like the 35th is now. But some people don't want a ZL1, and they really want a 45th right now. So more power to them! I'm happy GM is making a lot of versions people like.

It's all good to get advice to help make your decision, such as "brakes are always failing" or "reliability is great", etc. But as for a make/model/options that's ultimately YOUR decision. You're paying for it, right? Get what you want, not what other people would want.

It's like when women ask "Does this outfit make me look fat?" There's no good answer. The real question should be asked back, "Does wearing that outfit make you feel good?" You shouldn't need validation from others as to your personal vehicle choices/options.
The TF edition is a $3,000 upgrade? I though it was simply badges and TF logos placed around the car? What does it come with for that sort of money?

Spoiler, pretty cool wheels, some yellow embroidering around the leather, autobot stitching on the headreasts.

Wheels are the big difference but this would be well worth if it was the true bumblebee color.

I agree, when the kid's faces light up and they all start screaming "Bumble Bee Bumble Bee" it makes me happy to have a yellow Camaro.

Sorry, to you and anyone else with a yellow car. No adult should ever drive a yellow car. Even a yellow lambo, porsche, ferrari... just.... no.

That is my 2 cents.

Hate to burst the bubble, but the wheels are NOT part of the TF package. All you get with the TF package is the spoiler, yellow stitching, and badges.

You could do like i did and make a Deception Camaro for 3k you could do one sweet version i am on a limited budget but i think i did damn good thus far (still a work in project)

Link = http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...=1#post3597924

Far as the TE Camaro it is being out shadowed by the 45th camaro and the fact there already was one back in 2010 i love it i do. BUT given a choise i would get the 45th why? because i already have a transformers camaro and i would like the change. Also the history of the camaro owning a speical car to celbrate camaros birthday

Gonna burst your bubble right back and reiterate my statement that the wheels that you see on the picture are indeed included with the 2012 Transformers Edition.

The autobot center caps came in the 2010 and they will indeed come with the 2012.

It's called the 2012 Transformers Special Edition Camaro, and you can order one starting in July. If you do so, your Bumblebee decoy will arrive on dealer lots sometime this fall. The Transformers Camaro wears Autobot badges on the fenders, black stripes down the hood, roof and tail, a Bumblebee-specific rear spoiler and blacked-out 20-inch alloys sporting Autobot-logo center caps.
