1) is it manual? if yes go to 1a. If no go to 2.
1a) shift at 2k rpms. Done.
2) reset your avg fuel economy on the DIC and see how it rates.

its auto, i reset the dic at every fill up, and also calculate it on paper as well.
I also drive in the manual mode so i can shift sooner at times, if it doesnt seem to want to shift before 2000 in drive, then when im up to speed i will either shift into m6 or just put it back in drive.

Also make sure youre using premium fuel. You might want to do a fuse pull on it as well, i did that with my LS3 and it seemed to help the fuel mileage from 18.2 to 20.8 now, and ive only driven it a short distance since the fuse pull and reset.

He has a V6 it does not require premimum, mine is a V6 and get anywhere from 18.5 to 33. Depending on how and where I drive.
