Probably true. But with the 20's, you've got 4.33" of sidewall to work with so you could probably fit 2" tall lettering on there and still have room for the rest of the stuff, especially considering that everything fits on the side of those 20/25 series rubber band tires.

Either way, while these renderings look cool, I don't think you'll see many, if any, new Camaros running around sporting raised white letters on their tires. If you do, it's probably someone with an LS running 18" aftermarket Gen1 replica rally wheels on a white car with orange rally stripes as a tribute the '69 pace car.

no, I wont be doing whitewalls. however there is a company that makes "tire markers" so you can detail your rubber in different colors. mine will be color matched to the car

There used to be a kit available at Pep Boys and stores like that where you could paint the letters on your non-white letter tires gold or white. I thought it looked kind of tacky.

ya know ya start feeling a lil bit old when you remember when raised white lettering look pretty cool the first time around... I've got a 4th gen (2000) and think the raised white letters would look slick on that too...

btw... nice photoshop work

Interesting. Whitewalls would be pretty interesting on a black rs. with the dark rims and maybe some white stripes, be kind of a backwards (normal: rims lighter, tires darker) look that ties in with the stripes. hmmm...

Thanks, Spike. Didn't know there was such a thing. Don't know if I'll use it, but nice to know it's an option.

My Roadrunner came with red wall, stripe, bias plys. Ha!

yeah, my uncle has a peterbilt 379 that he has all decked out for shows and whatnot. and he details the tires on his truck and trailer for shows, along with jacking up the truck to rotate the wheels so that all the lettering is uniform front to back
