Geez I hope not. The Cobalt SS would have more street cred if there hadn't been rental-Cobalt saturation before it came out. Every review of the damn thing ends with "great car, looks like a rental".

I contacted Hertz about them adding the Camaro to their "Fun Collection" and they told me that even though they have not announced it yet, they are definitely looking into it since they have had multiple requests for it.

Given the timeframe you are looking at, you might be better off seeing if you can "rent" one from someone that has already taken delivery in your area. Follow the VIN tracker thread to see which dealers have or will be getting ones delivered nearby. Go in and talk to the GM and see if he'll pass along your contact information and how much you'd be willing to pay for the day to the new Camaro owners.

This may be a good idea. I saw that there's a black auto SS coming to the dealership a mile or two from my house. Thanks for the input.

I would think it would be a while before they would rent them. Maybe that would be where some of the CTF cars end up? Good luck with getting one for the wedding. That would be a pretty cool ending to the day.

Jeez i hope these cars arent rented out. Hertz is the only company that rents out Vetts and they only have a couple at that.

I live on Maui and V6 Mustangs have been Whore'd out to all the rental companies, im so sick of seeing those cars i would never own one just because all the stupid tourist drive them.

If this happens to the Camaro then its sad to say i may not get one. Heres to hoping they keep the car limited to private owners and a limited basis at that.

Yep. Here in the wine country rental V6 Mustangs litter the landscape. Too bad for owners because every time I see one, I wonder if it's a rental. Rental ID is the Kiss Of Death. Ask anyone who thought their Taurus SHO was badass.

Oh, I'll be buying my 2SS... it just won't be ready by June 13th.

I work for ABG and thought you could use the good news. They be rolling in April, May, and June.
