You may be right. I didn't order the spare, it feels like a little bit of living on the edge, but keeping my fingers crossed that it's never an issue. I was reading in a magazine today that a lot of 2012 cars are moving away from having spare tires.

My dealer called me today to tell me that my car was pulled for additional Quality Control inspections.

He was super apologetic, like he was expecting me to be mad, but I'm not.

I mean, who wouldn't want their car to have extra checks to make sure everything is perfect?

But he said he leaned on GM and they should be finishing it up and loading it on a rail car tomorrow.

Awesome dealer.

Especially considering the entire order has been on good faith so far; I haven't even so much as fronted a dime.

Well, the compact spare wheel & tire were available, but in limited quantities. One would think, [but obviously not like us] that a sold order would take precedence over an inventory build, if that was the only constraint. But, yes, who knows...it might be the spare.

I hope like heck GM got gray leather back in stock and it's OFF the constraint list tomorrow! Sheeesh...these people[GM] are wearing me down!

If not I might be able to head down there, I'm 20 minutes from there

same here mine updated to 4B00 from 4B00. i think someone mentioned that it means that the vehicle is out of QC and ready to be shipped! just waiting on a railcar...
