Me too with the getting distracted part. Till today i finally got to take a few pics. Once I was in it I felt like driving it till it was on E. I noticed your average mpg on one of ur pics, nice compared to mines of 16.8 mpg!
Thats mostly due to the hard break-in im givin it. I believe that if you treat it like a baby it will act like one, but to each his own so the first day i got it i floored it every chance i got. I was a bit dissapointed at first with my LS3 since it felt sluggish compared to my 2000 LS1 with only a full exhaust, cai, and tune. But as i kept getting on it u really could feel the difference with each pull I felt it getting better and better.
Nice car man, SW was my second choice but I couldn't be happier with going with the victory red.

I'm with ya man. Mine has been listed as "Shipped" since last Wednesday, yet the train car number is not being updated in the system. I can only assume that my car was loaded on a train car but hasn't been picked up by UP yet. This whole QC for a month is complete BS!

The first 130-140 miles were all highway coming home from the dealership so that's where most of that mpg is from. It's sitting at 19.2 now and dropping. I did slow down to 40-45 and put in third a couple times and run it up to 4000 rpms on the way home, just really trying not to pass that yet though. I don't doubt the hard break-in method one bit, just hard for me to do personally.

I came from a fourth gen also, 1997 Z28, LT1/A4 3:23, headers, true duals, CAI, and 315 DR's in the rear. The low-end torque in that thing was awesome but I still don't think it would come anywhere close to the LS3. This car is just so much smoother and refined so it doesn't feel as violent when you accelerate. My Z28 was red, so I say good call on the Victory Red. I'll always have a special thing for 4th gens, already miss mine a little. I sold it, and my 2009 Nightster to get the SS. Here's some older pics.

You hit the nail on the head! Guess that is why they call you "wise". My 97 TA with the T56 can not compare to this car in those two categories.

Haha, it's just my last name and I'm not very clever with usernames so it's easy to remember. I ordered my Jacfab bent-face license plate bracket yesterday. Window tint will be done next month. I'm thinking 25% on the side windows and quarter windows, and 15% on the rear window.

Update: Sitting at 270 miles now. Low fuel light came on 265 miles and it was $62.98 to fill up, 16.1 gallons. Definitely doing a lot better on gas than the LT1.
