Ok so i have hp tunners and i am wanting to do a little messing around on this L99. But omg there are so many tables on this thing, that I am lost. ANY ONE have some type of walk through for this car. ITS NO LS1.. VERY SCARED of this one. Heck If gave me a check engine light just from reading the tune..

I use HP Tuners, and you may enjoy my mail order tune for $150.00. Actually, its still $120 till September 12th. There's no easy way on the autos. The mail order also includes the motor side of the tune.

There's more than 250 tables to change on the A6. I wish they were as simple at the A4. Id love to tell you a couple things to change and to add 5% here and 10% there, but its not just a couple setting that need enhancing.

There's also a differance from the early 2010s to the late 2010s. The late 2010s are similar to the 2011s, but not the same. I cant wait to see what the 2012 have in store for us.

This is the first sign you shouldn't just dive in.

This is probably the best route. I've never used TampaTuners, but I've heard they are very good.

Feel free to give me a call. I can help point you in the right direction. We have tuned many of the L99 Cars with great results.

Check my build thread. I use HP and it can be learned.

Yes there are a bunch of tables for the A6, but once you realize it all boils down to shift speed, pressure, and feel, then it's not so daunting.

120 is not that bad.. .. I want to learn to do this my self, but if i can come up with the cash?????? I will give u a call.. u can just email me a tune.

Padre were can i go look at your build??? I spent about 4 hrs yesterday going through all the tables. some of them are straight forward, so I know what to do there. but like the high octain table. would I just put like +1 in the table to bump timing? thats what I had to do on my GTP. There is no comand X spark table that I have found on this car..... The trans table's are confusing as crap to me. there is like 4 tables under each heading. not one or 2. like a ls1 car. and what is table x and a and b and c .. there are like 20 places to mess with torque management under engine and trans.. ????

DOD (displacement on demand) and AFM (active fuel management) are the same thing, which is going from 8 cylinders to 4 cylinders to save fuel.

There's considerable power and fuel economy to be gained by revising the cam phasing tables. That's more for the advanced tuners, but once you have the tune as good as it can be, begin mastering the VVT tables and you will open up a whole new world of gains.

It's in my sig under Journal. I don't post tuning tricks, but I show you what can be done even before you open up the tune.
