Drone-less exhaust

I am looking for an exhaust for my 2012 2SS A6 convertible. I had a Billy Boat exhaust on my corvette. Sounded great outside the car, but the drone inside the car at crusing speed was unacceptable.

I have looked at the threads on this forum, but haven't found one that addresses the drone issue.

Right now, I am looking at the Magnaflow comp cat back and the Corsa touring cat back. Since the accoustics in a convertible with the top up are different from the coupe's, I wanted to see if anyone with a convertible has a cat back system that sounds great but does not cause drone with the top up.

thanks for the input and I'm sorry if this question has been covered on another thread. But I wanted a response specific to convertibles.

Solo J-Pipes are drone free at any rpm.

Corsa and Solo are probably your best options. Stainless Works retro chambered system has had good reveiws as well. If you have a convertible then Solo is a great option as they have new vert specific kits. Corsa's new systems aren't out yet. We are in the midst of updating for all the new systems.

Doug Thorlely LTs, HiFlo Cats here along with the blower, etc..

I switched away from the SLP LM II (tons of drone) to a Borla Touring and couldn't be happier...

Just put the Dynomax VT axleback on my car and really like it. No drone at all. Idles deeper and a little louder than stock but once you have enough flow to fully open the valve, she gets a lot louder, in a good way.

I have Doug Thorley LT's, no cats, and Corsa catback with no drone!... perfect really!

I had same setup with factory catback and SLP Loud Mouth II and as stated above... it was horrible!

I'll add another vote to the Corsa exhaust. I have headers and high flow cats and there isn't any drone at any RPM.

It is nice when you are driving along and the music is what you hear, but as you stated when you get on it, you hear it for sure. I did over 44 hours at highway speeds, in a week's time, with this system and was really happy with it.
Thanks!
