Please! If you want to complain, do it in another thread.

This thread is like a life line to the thousands of us that are waiting on their car. You have the right to voice your concerns, but not here. I doubt you will find a thread like this in any other forum.

I am still baffled on how these guys do it and saying thanks is an understatement. This work is phenomenal.

I really appreciate the service UCF and Heinz are providing here and would like to see it continue. Honestly, I see those future rentals as a marketing and advertisement tool. People will drive them and quite possibly buy one later. Still wondering why they chose V8's instead of V6's.

Either way, GM isn't stupid. They are looking at a much bigger picture than just 14,000 pre-orders as they should.

Enough said.....back to the VINS and thanks again UCF and Heinz.

In a word --- YES~! Each dealership is a separate entity to GM. Each dealership has its own allocation. I haven't been able to figure out the allocation/build system; however, given the state of management/operation at the Big 3 over the past 20 yrs, nothing would surprise me. I'd just double check a boiler room or call center in Mumbai for some source of the programming....just politically incorrectly musing out loud.

Believe it or not the allocation process for Camaro's is based on the dealer's sales of Monte Carlo's and Corvette's, population of the area, and the number of Mustang's sold in that area. If Ford didn't sell many Mustang's in your area, your local dealer won't get many Camaro's. Our dealership is the 10th largest in volume in the state of Wisconsin but we only got five Camaro allocations because of the small market (population) and the number of Mustang's sold was low. In fact, the local Ford dealer just went out of business!!

Anyone trying to download the spreadsheet of VINs at http://home.earthlink.net/~heinzd01/...amaro_VINS.xls may find it not available. My ISP has informed me I've exceeded my traffic limit. I intended this morning's release to be the last update anyway.

I sugguest everyone use UCF w00t's web page at http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com/

....Thanks for all of your hard work on this........I personally would love to see a registry created out of this information somehow. We may never be able to recreate this information unless GM is doing some archiving of data as well. And I'm not sure they'd allow some of the data out like we have now.

Do you think you could at least keep it going thru all the pre-solds? j/k I'm sure there's a lot of time involved.

I intended on mine being exactly that. And being that the manual effort is minimal, I should be able to keep it going for quite some time. Mine has almost all the same data as heinz01's (I just didn't include all of the options). Is there something you'd like to see added/changed?
