TPW 8/15/11

My car departed Kansas. It's on its way slowly but surely!

My car should hopefully be arriving at the dealer any minute now according to the tracking. I'll camped by the phone indefinitely waiting for that magical phone call.

Still bayed. I don't think anyone should worry about being at the center of the last lot to get put on the rail. Pretty sure with my luck I got that spot covered.

My dealer emailed me and claimed they're not giving out the rail numbers anymore because Railway service is being "Bombarded" by calls.
I'm tracking it using "thorr's" rail number! They said that it's on a train at Whiteside Kansas!

But, it doesn't surprise me...I didn't even get built on my original TPW(of 8/15). I'm trying really hard to wait and see if I get a status change tomorrow AM. If not, I'll prolly burn another favor with Becks and ask her to check.

One would think[and again, obviously not like us!] that SOLD orders would get priority transport over dealer inventory vehicles. Who knows?! I've just got a sneakin' feelin' my Camaro is playing hide and go seek in a tall grass field! Yikes!

Yeah, I was bayed on 13 Aug. Still keeping tabs, but not too worried. Just saving up for a bigger dp.

It's the total time that's making me a wee bit impatient!
We were all set to purchase a Camaro last August, 2010;
job concerns and a BIG stock market loss put those plans on hold.

End of 2010, above concerns resolved, and the hunt resumed for a Camaro.

January 2011, DH's dad became ill with cancer, and plans again on hold.
DFIL passed away in late February.

After several months of dealing with family/estate matters, ONCE again, was in pursuit of buying a Camaro.

May 2011, deal made and car ordered. Late June, after waiting 6 weeks, found out there would be no 2011 as the production had ceased on 2011s. Hence, my 2012 Camaro was ordered 6/21/11.
It was not built until August 24th[despite having a TPW of 8/15].
And, yes, this is only bay-day #6 for me, but I have been waiting over a year for this car!!
So laugh at me if you will, but yes, I've grown a little impatient!
