Steve agreed to not put any holes in the front of my car for the front plate or any dealer or other stickers on it. He told me my car should get pulled next week for production. He is even going to pick me up at the airport.

Steve really is a decent guy. I said before that I'd be more than happy to pick you guys up too, as you come in, if I can swing it at work...

TICK TICK TICK... Is it Monday yet?

Is a front plate required in Kentucky? Here in NY it is, but I'm going to see how long I can get away with it. I can live with getting pulled over once in a while, but if it happens often I'd be interested in one of those mounts trm talked about earlier.

trm0002,

I may take you up on that offer and head down to Basil when it arrives.

Where is the Lewiston rail yard ??? Maybe I can see some haulers pulling out.

I honestly don't know where the yard is in Lewiston (assuming by the bridge for customs purposes)- just know that's what Steve told me. I'll ask him specific location on Monday. As I said, you are more than welcome to join me in the festivities on delivery day. Watch here for updates or PM me your email or phone number.

Trent

Kentucky does not require a front plate. Good luck and I hope you can get by without one as well.

TRM, how far is it from the airport over to Basil? Don't want to put you out, but it would too cool to ride from the airport in a new Camaro to pickup a new Camaro! Even if you came by later we could take a few pics for the others on the forum.

I may get a SPOT Trip Manager see http://www.findmespot.com/en/ so everyone can track us on the internet to get my new car and follow the drive home. You can even get my speed etc on the way...

Thanks TRM,
Really, you got to check out Spot, I am planning on buying it for when I take trips on my Harley this summer anyway. Here is the site with more details about it. http://www.findmespot.com/en/

Just like the Corvettes are right now.
Uhhh I think this sort of ignorant attitude is why many of these dealerships are closing. GM is on the verge of bankruptcy and accepting government hand outs yet the last thing on your mind is giving customers a discount??? Not sure what a$$ backwards business sense you have, but I would be giving any discount possible to make any sort of profit so I could stay in business.

If by devalue you mean sell a product at a reasonable price to stay in business then sure. When/if GM goes bankrupt they will have dealers like to to thank. Lets jack our customers around because the Camaro is a "new" "hot" product even though we are struggling to stay in business. WTG Bobby Lynn GM Burien Chevrolet.
