I think a lot of people have to realize that a lot of people ordered in Oct. The larger dealers will probably get more cars first becuase they have a larger allocation. I ordered the first day we could order in Oct from Karl Chev in IA and I am #20 out of 43, even though I ordered on the first day of pre-orders. I could have ordered from a dealer in SIoux Falls, SD that had an allocation of 5 and been the first one but they wanted $10k over msrp. Hopefully all of our pre-orders will be filled as soon as possible because I know we all want to drive our cars!!

I agree. I ordered on the 2nd day in October, and was #42 of 67 (i think). I'm not expecting my car anytime soon :( I assumed, until I found this site, that production would be first come, first serve. Also adding to some peoples' frustrations is dealer mis-information. Initially my dealer was telling me that I would get my car in March!

Check it out, Mac Haik in Houston has 4 camaros on the list already with a VIN.....yes the same dealership that demanded $6000 over MSRP. You think this is just? My guess is that it's only because they are a high volume fleet dealer...hmmm how many fleets will have the 2SS?

I agree with this. I ordered from the largest dealership in the state, which is in the largest city in the state, but as of yet only 3 of 7 VINs on the VIN thread are coming to Indy with none going to my dealership. The other 4 are going to pretty rural areas, which I am sure have small allocations. I have decided that I am not going to worry anymore, I will get it when I get it. I will still check the VIN thread religiously to see if my car is on there since I have been at 3400 for about a week and a half...

I've seen plenty of small dealers having their cars already built. ie Chevy dealer
in Daleville, Indiana population under 2000 people. They've got 2 cars built already.

Edit: Now they have 3. another just added on 4/1.

First come first served appears to NOT be the norm when it comes to building cars. I know of way too many "reasons" why, but I really believe that there has to be a more fair way to respond to the pre-orders than allowing a bunch over here and a few over here to be delivered.
