Picked up new 2012 2SS; car accident on way home - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys. So... I went and picked up my brand new 2012 2SS today (TPW 8/8/11). It's beautiful! I traded in my 2011 1LT for it.

The last thing that I ever imagined or wanted to happen today, happened. On the way home from the dealer I got involved in a car accident! Hadn't even made it home for the first time and something like that happens.

What happened was... some lady in a Kia soul rear-ended the man behind me and then he slammed/slid into me. I was shocked and pretty upset at first, but then just wanted to make sure the lady was okay. She said the only thing that was hurting was her implants (i tried not to laugh?) but then she started to have a seizure.

First thing i did after getting out and checking on everyone else was call 911. Then waited for the cops, ambulance, etc... to arrive. got everyone's names and numbers. a police report was made. The lady that caused the accident was taken away on a stretcher.

I'm just thankful no one was seriously hurt and my car was also not seriously damaged. I'm taking it to the body shop tomorrow to have them take a look at it. Looks to me like a few paint chips and a series of dents. I'm getting it fixed! I want it to be perfect.

The guy that hit me... his license was expired. and he was driving a company vehicle.

it's kind of funny because after we got the car, I went with my dad to Sam's Club and he said, "you park that thing out in the middle of nowhere"! don't want any door dings

Here's some pics of my new car and from the little accident. they're not all that great, they're from a phone. sorry. I had a crazy day!!!!!!! and you can't really see the dents as well as you can in person.

Despite the events of earlier today I am extremely happy! I love my new SS!

Sorry to hear this, it dont look to bad judging from pics? but beautiful car!! Seems like you and the lady got new things today? your car, her tatas :tweetz: only thing is your feeling the leather wheel she is feeling fake plastic

and hers will cost more to fix, Don't think insurance covers breasts implants?

*EDIT* So is this what they give you when you buy the new SS's a jar of cookies? ... i noticed on arm rest

First off...Glad you weren't hurt and no one else was seriously hurt. Secondly, awesome looking ride!!! Sorry it got dinged, but going back to my first point...glad you weren't hurt and it can be fixed "good as new!!" Enjoy that SS!!

Best 2012 yet. Heritage grill (badgeless) and ground FX really set it off and I love the beige dash.

Did those ground effects come from the dealer, or is it part of the package?

Really nice looking, I'm considering a 2012 Black 2LT/RS so I may be a little biased (don't need the V8, I know, I know).

Accident looks very minor for you, sorry to hear about other drivers, esp. pontoon girl.

Sorry for your accident. :( When you file the insurance claim against the other driver's insurance company, make sure you fight to recover the diminished value of your Camaro. If you try to sell it in a few years and Carfax shows an accident, you'll get less money for it. You're entitled to that money. Go get it.
