Hey Orange Krate, I just got an email from J C Whitney. They cancelled my order for the new Camaro LED tail lights. Looks like they are saying they cannot get them now. Have you recieved any info on your order?
Thanks

Hi Everyone

Been a while. Just hit 3000 mile this morning and found a small amount of road rash on my front diver side rim . I did It
I will have to look into replacing it soon. Its not bad but I see it every time I go out to it.
Car-Mine has been running great and is getting 22 MPG.
Had the oil changed at 1800 miles, Moble1 and also had the dealer replace the windshild.
It had a row of bubbles at eye hight and when the sun hit it just right, It was like a white line in front of your eyes.
Have been very busy all summer at work, 55 hours a week so not much time to get out.
I have driven my 36 chevy only 3 times all summer.
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the sun.
Talk to you later.

Don

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well. I haven't posted here in a while. My 2SS has 7500 on her and running good. Still a blast to drive. I had a question: I'm new to synthetic oil. I did an oil change Sunday and I'm smelling a faint burned oil smell, just as she did when she was new - it eventually went away. Is this some sort of phenomenon with synthetic oil? And, no I did not spill even a single drop when I filled her with the new oil. No leaks either. Let me know what you guys think.

Hi Friends! I have been SUPER busy since we all chatted at length. My work went sideways as they added two additional divisions under me! That added ~70 subordinates. I am going to have to give up my second part time job just to focus on job #1. Even with all the work I am at 6800 miles on Orange Krate.

The last two evenings after work I spent some special one on one time with Orange Krate installing the new Technostalgia LED tail lights. I really like them and the install was much easier than I thought it would be. I have made some notes on the Orange Krate journal and linked some youtube outtakes.

I am still waiting to get my ghost pearl stripes. The first painter sort of fell of the planet. He is at his shop but I got the feeling he is too backlogged with regular repair as opposed to custom paint. He sprayed a scrap hood and striped it. The sample turned out awesome so it is not a shortage of talent or know how. I got a line on another painter so I am going to follow up.

I am still having intermittent clutch issues with a burning smell. It has to be slipping if I smell it but I dont ride the clutch or do anything hard or aggressive. It is almost like it is not fully releasing. I am taking it to the dealer and taking them up on the FREE oil change they offered me.

Hope everyone has had a great summer as we wind down for winter time mods! HA HA BEST TO ALL!!!!

PS... what do you all think of the signature photo? I received that from a gal who lives up in Bakersfield about 3 hours from my house. She saw my post on Facebook and took the photo (taken by my brother at Point Mugu Rock on PCH), and created the signature. I think it is pretty awesome. Especially for free!

I really do like your signature. Sorry you are still having clutch problems. The only problems I have had is the pass side door sill is coming up a little and I still have drive side wind noise. I do not hear it much because I have the radio on soo loud. Since it is my DD I have not taken off work to take it in. Plus I hate having someone else mess with my baby.

I just watched your videos on the tail lights. I did not think I would like them but I do. I really like them.

They look great.
