Yea, I think Jeff is considered the leader of the club that has no name yet.

He's compiling a list of people from this site from the tri-state area and even some "upstate".

What part of NY are you from?

Well my NY friends....good news and bad news for ya!

Good news is that I have a friend who runs a dealership and GM owed a favor to him so my order goes in Sat 3/28 and I'll have my car in 6 weeks...LOL. Good news for me.

Bad news is that I got the inside scoop from GM and certain options are not due to be ready until either 3rd or 4th qtr this year. So, if you ordered these options you won't get delivery until then.

The options were all the ones I was gonna get... Hurst short throw, shorty headers, cat back exhaust and air intake.

Thus, unfortunalty my order will be without those options. Was advised that when they come out you can have the dealer install them and they will be covered under the warranty. (but obviously you cannot finance them into the price at that point).

FYI, I was gonna order a black with inferno orange interior and stripe (to match my first car) but was advised that over 1/2 of the orders on the car are this combo. Of the 15 ordered at the dealership 3 were v6 and 12 were v8. Of the V8 9 were black, 2 orange and one red.

PS. Would love to start a Suffolk NY Club for meetings at various car shows like bald hill and places.

I am up in Westchester NY, about 40 Miles north of NY City. I was actually contacted by someone who runs a Camaro Club on LI. Here is the link:

http://www.camarocrazy.net/index.php...d=13&Itemid=27

But if you guys start a Camaro5 Club, maybe we can merge in.

They even do work on the cars, may be a great place to go to do Exhaust mods and things of that nature!

I am sure they have a lift and would be super happy to get the business from all of us New Camaro owners. He does restoration, so we can probably get stuff polished and chromed, some custom fiberglass work so we can get the quad exhaust out the rear fascia....CUSTOM IS GOOD!

Ok, so I cancelled my order at Robert Chevrolet in Hicksville and now I ordered from Huntington Chevrolet. 2LT/RS automatch IOM w/black interior and black rally stripes...although I'm debating on switching to either VR or ABM...thoughts?

The ABM will be more rare, I saw the VR in the LI car how last year and it looked flat and cheap to me. This car really pops in a metallic color.
