The Camaro is back in the Paint Dept. We have to fix some minor chips. Then, paint, color, sand, and buff.
My plan is to get the clear bra on (lower half of the car, front to back). Next, will be all of the moldings, accents, and lights. Then off to Innovative Audio to get the security and audio systems in place. It'll be a finished product by the end of the month, hopefully. However, it's drivable now.

Also, I've decided to hold off on the stripe. I like how the color looks (especially now that the hood is in place) and don't really want to cover it up just yet.

That's an awesome Z28!!
I'm having an extremely hard time believing that it was restored for $35k. Mine is double that. And, that's at cost! Parts and labor at cost with free paint. There is no way, I mean no way, you can make money restoring cars. It's impossible.

I was hoping the car would've been finished today as far as color, sand, and buff. But, some progress is better than none.
Here's a couple of pics. They'll wrap it up on Monday. Next will be chip guard along the bottom of the car. I'm gone most of next week, so not much will happen. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the month. I think that's reasonable. We have the Enchantment International Car Show Oct 8th at the Sandia Motorsports Speedway. Maybe that'll be my inauguration. Notice the "maybes"?

Here's a few more pics. The buffing continues.
Found out we have to replace the deck (trunk) lid. The material underneath the paint keeps "shrinking" and causing these strange rings. We've decided to buy a new lid and start over. Also, some minor paint repair on the rocker panel (driver's side under the door). Not a big deal. Wed it'll get the chip guard (clear bra) put on along the bottom of the car. I'll be back on Monday to put the front end pieces together (grille, lights, etc.). ![]() We'll see how fast Bryan at Innovative Audio can put the sound and security systems before the end of the month. ![]() She'll be ready for show by October 8th's Enchantment International Car Show. If you want to see the final product in person, this is where it'll be. ![]() Here's the show's info: http://enchantmentcars4cancer.com/
