With the car signed...

I would put it in at Barret Jackson, or Mecum.

It will be a 200,000 dollar car, at least.

stick it on ebay.

All that shipping is gonna cost out the tail!

Remove the engine cover and mail it to the cast if they're willing to sign it and have it clear coated at your local body shop.

Your still going to have to pay taxes on it. Mom just won a $53,000 porche
at A casino and she had to pay like 12k I think it was, then when she sold the car she ended up owing the IRS like 4k more taxes on the win. Just something to think about. Did they offer you as cash gift instead?
Might want to ask as it would probably be your best option.

Nah, it'll be slightly more than the RPO car similar to it. If they're 2SS loaded, I'd guess 60 at the most. Probably closer to 50

So am I to asume that when they said Bumblebee car, they really meant ralley yellow with the current black stripes? Or will it actually be the closer pearl yellow color with stripes that go down past the mail slot?

If it's the first, then I don't feel that bad about not winning.

I was told that when they start taking body part off the car that they will void the warranty and it says it in the disclosure, which I have not looked at yet but a paint job is a paint job no matter what color. I think that there is only 3 of them that they don't want to change the guns for 3.
Who is Mecum and Barret Jackson said it would probably get 40,000 of the lot it is 45,000 what is with that.

ocolgan - Good to see you on here again...

Unfortunately for you, the contest rules left them a couple of "outs" on delivering a Bumblebee replica to you. Which really sucks but GM is now in a totally different world from where they were when this sweepstakes was held. Personally, I think they really should give you the Camaro they were advertising.

Quote:
THREE (3) GRAND PRIZES/ARV: 2009 Chevrolet Camaro – Transformers Bumblebee Replica Edition-(ARV/MSRP: $40,000). This replica will be a production-version Camaro modified to resemble the exterior of Bumblebee, as seen in Transformers: The Movie. Specialty enhancements/design upgrades may not be covered by the GM New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Grand Prize vehicles will not be available for delivery until 2009. Winners must take delivery of vehicle within thirty (30) days of notice of availability from GM-selected dealer near each winner’s residence, and each will be solely responsible for sales tax, registration, license, title and insurance fees and cost of any additional optional equipment not provided with Grand Prize vehicle. Grand Prize vehicles’ APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV) is based on forecasted 2009 Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of a base model Chevrolet Camaro. Winners must a have valid driver’s license from jurisdiction of residence and proof of insurance to take delivery. No cash or other substitution may be made, except by the Sponsor, who reserves the right to substitute a prize in whole or in part with another prize of comparable or greater value if the intended prize is not available for any reason as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion. Each winner will be responsible for all taxes (not limited to federal, state, provincial, local and/or income) on Grand Prize and if a U.S. resident will be required to provide, to Administrator, his/her Social Security number for tax reporting purposes. Administrator will file an IRS Form 1099 with the Internal Revenue Service for the fair market value of any prize awarded to a U.S. resident.

I would quote this guy seven times if it wouldn't tick off the the mods....

I believe you are in a hardship, but no more than before you won this car.......I sincerely hope!............................................. .soooooo put this Camaro in Barret Jackson and tell your story about winning it and anything else TRUE that you want to throw in and it will reap you a whirlwind my friend-----------and by whirlwind I mean-------------------more than you would expect to get from anyone else! Period!

This is w/o a doubt a one-and-only (or three) type of car and this is the only place you can sell it and expect to get anywhere near it's worth. If you don't sell it there, then whoever you sell it to may, and end up with 3X or more profit than you did!

BUT please don't take my word for it, call BJ and talk to someone. I hope they tell you the same thing. If you've ever watched one of their auctions then you know how hard they "work the crowd".

Oh and BTW.............congratulations!
