whenever i get around to finally doing it, yes I will go turbo instead of supercharging. turbocharging seems more modern to me plus supercharging a muscle car sounds over-rated IMO :P
btw, badass car. I looked at that set up a while back when i had a v6. upgraded to v8 instead to eventually turbo and get even bigger numbers

Nice car, but dont know, seeme like he had a hard time trying to spin those tires unless T/C was on? plus dont know about the spooling up sound in the rear, if i wanted speed and power i would of got a V8 instead of trying to waste money only to gain little HP's on a 6.

The sound alone fails it for me. It looks nice and i'm sure it has the speed chops but, damn that sound stinks.

This is the AAC Camaro I think, which I love the way it looks. I do not think the sound is bad, it just looks strange coming from a muscle car. I would rather see and hear a turbo V8 on a Camaro.

The infamous AAC v6 turbo? If you guys do a search you may find this car. I know he may have figured things out(I hope they have), but this car was touted as 400+hp to the rear wheels and I've had faster 1/4 mile runs.

Sounds like a coffee can Honda. How well would the 6 hold up with the turbo or Supercharger? For all that money, just trade it in on a V8. Last longer and still have a warranty, and put out more power...probably better gas mileage too.

At one point I was thinking of doing all these things to my V6 but I decided it would be better to just wait and upgrade to a SS at some point. Modding a V6 to run with the V8's just isnt worth the money spent IMO.

Back when this video was taken, AAC and STS were still having issues with the tune on the car....hell, they didn't even break the 15 second 1/4 mile barrier with the thing back then.
But now, we have STS V6 cars running in the 360 to 400+ rwhp range and will go higher once fueling issues are figured out....doesn't take much boost to get there. The V6 does have some forged internals, but if you want to go big boost and shoot for 500 or so rwhp you will have to break her open and do some major work at some point. So far, between the twin turbo, single turbo, and Nitrous V6 cars none of them has had an engine failure. As far as turboing a V6....if you have the cash and like the idea of doing something different rather than just going for an SS....do it. Who cares what people think...its your car and your money. Have fun!

I just dont like the remote mounted turbos, I want turbos under the hood or very close to the engine.

I have driven Gretchin's and trust me, IT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE A HONDA!!! Depends on how you want to go with it, but 400+ RWHP and 30 MPG sounds like a nice combo to me. I know Gretchin is trying to get well over that, but it seems like there are a lot of upgrades involved.
