They have been very good up until now, that's why I took it there. I figured if this did happen I would rather be at the dealer but I didn't see this coming at all, I couldn't have been clearer to the tech. I am still so pissed right now, I have some little scratches here and there but you could never find them, I know every inch of my car and when I pulled the car in Tuesday it was imaculate. They also had it two days because the guy said he couldn't get the tires in time, I said fine, take your time and do it right. When I looked at it today it was filthy, it had rained but I had leaves all stuck in my mud flaps like someone went for a ride.

I didn't note the mileage, like I said, they have been good. But I took it in clean. Now I have dried leaves all over my splash guards. There are no trees on the lot.

This is very true, but most workers end up just being lazy pieces of $&@& that don't care. They don't think of their job as a career, just a job..

I just had the same thing happen to my nice polished rim. I didn't catch it until the next day and not going to bother trying to get it replaced. The car is a month old and the reason the dealer changed the tire was because of a chunk that was missing out of the sidewall. I had to argue that one because I didn't find it until two days later when a buddy was looking my car over. He noticed the chunk missing.

So I called the service dept. the next day and said I have a problem with a tire. Took it in and they basically said it was a sales issue. Ok, no problem I'm thinking. So instead of pissing around with the sales guy, I went right to the sales manager. After showing him the tire dressing they put on when I bought the car was covering the chunk I said there's no way I caused this. They wouldn't budge saying 'how do we know you didn't do it?' They offered me free oil changes and a bunch of other BS. I finally even went as far as saying I'd split the cost of a new tire.

Fast forward a week and I take the car back and have the GM rep look at it. Within two minutes he says replace the tire. Finally I get satisfaction. Well a week later I take it back to have the tire put on and think everything is good now. I just washed the car the day before it went in for the tire and I cleaned my rims and polished them. So I know there were no scratches on them. The day after I got the tire put on I decide to clean the new tire and get the bead sealer off the sidewall. Now I find two scratches across two of the spokes the same distance from the bead. Looks like whatever they spin balanced the tire with scratched the rim because the grooves are in an arc that follow the same arc as the rim. Both scratches are exactly the same distance from the edge of the rim.

I am so done with this dealer. Had it not been for the GM rep ponying up for the new tire I would have stuck paying for a new one. Then on top of it they wind up scratching my rim. Trying to tell them they caused the scratches on my wheels is just a waste of my time.

Oh, and the best part of the tire chunk story is that I said to the service manager am I supposed to inspect my car with a magnifying glass before I buy it? I mean I did a reasonable once over on the car when I bought it, it's just the chunk blended in with the letter on the sidewall and wasn't easy to pick out. His response was YES.

I just bough a new Ford Edge and told the sales guy that story. I asked him if I needed to get a magnifying glass before I drove off. He laughed and said we give people a few days to look it over in the sunlight and just bring it back if you find anything. Well I did find a small dimple on the rear quarter panel. And guess what, they fixed it without question.

Pick your dealer wisely. I picked my based on the car I wanted.

I'm in the same boat with the lot of you! Errrr...

I upgraded to the 2012 2LT and had them swap my 22" Doningtons with the cheap 20's. Anyway, when they torqued them, it looks like they removed the driver too fast and grazed the sidewall very slightly on the front left. I was mad and should have known better to let them do it. Even Discount tire's was gentle with them; these bone heads had the nerve to come up to me on a follow up and ask if my wheels were still on. Huh? I immediately ran to Discount Tire and had them remove and torque them again. Kinda want to buy my own torque wrench now.

I just heard from the dealer. They couldn't get the scratches out and they are replacing the rims. I am losing my car another day so 4 days at the dealership. Not happy about that but I feel good they are doing the right thing. I sent the manager a email last night after I calmed a little and just pointed out common sense to them. He actually is as anal as I am about things and totally got it. Thanks to everyone here for letting me vent and for the advice, I didn't get my 9mm out last night so I guess that's a good thing. Thank you jeff for you offer for assistance as well.

Is this the same dealer wanting to clean your fuel injectors for $140? Sounds like GM should have closed them down.

Bighar, your lucky you found a respectable person. Sad that it is these kind of things that make us distrust dealerships.

I was promised racing stripes as part of my agreement but have yet to have them done. They keep telling me that another guy does them but they are totally vague about it all. I wonder if this guy actually exist! Maybe they hope i'll give on my end and stop bothering. We'll see.

Yes. He didn't bring that subject up since 3 months ago when I went in for a oil change. If he would have even said anything last night about it when I walked into the dealership I think I would have made a really big scene.

Happened to me bro... feel your pain.... Some dope tried to force rears tire on the front rims Whats great is he succeeded... leaving concentric circles gouged into both front rims. The i get the douchebag service manager actually saying that it may have been like that when I brought it in! Needless to say I got new rims. Never went back to that stealership again.

I had the same thing happen. I had a tire sensor go bad and the dealer removed my front right tire and for some reason had to remove the tire from the rim. I went to pick up the car and noticed 2 deep scratches on the wheel. Of course the service manager claimed it was that way when I dropped the car off. I ended up talking to the salesman that I ordered the car from and he agreed it had to have happend in their shop. They replaced the wheel at no charge. They noted on my receipt that the wheel was damaged upon receipt and claimed it as a warranty against GM.
