Did you ever get an exhaust setup? Looks like it's been a couple months.
One thing you might consider doing is going out to the Classic Chevy/TMS event on September 10th. Should be alot of different Camaros for you to listen to. That will probably be one of the best places to see a bunch of different exhaust setups in one place.

I have a Borla Touring exhaust (their quietest exhaust). I had it installed with my Kooks 1 7/8" headers. It mades a nice rumble at idle and sounded great under throttle, but it was quiet when cruising.
I have since added a cam and exhaust cutouts (and a supercharger). When the cutouts are open, it is monster truck LOUD. When the cutouts are closed, it still sounds like a muscle car. Headers and cams add significant sound. So, you might want to think about whether you plan to add those later before you select your exhaust. Here is a recent video of my car. He opens the cutouts about 30 seconds into the video. |

Congrats on having a Camaro man.
If you treat your car well and respect other Camaro owners as well as forum members (which it appears you do) you'll be okay. I bought my Camaro when I was 19. My dad is a conservative old school banker and he taught me very young to save my money. I was lucky enough to by a Camaro with my own money. I maybe upgrading to a SS soon and I am looking into a cat back Borla Atak. I can't give you advice on headers or long tubes because I do not know what is best in that category, but get a CAI if you have not already. My obsession is LED's. Hence my member name.

CAI, Kooks or American Racing Headers, Borla ATAK
Nice and loud from the videos i've watched. I'm going Corsa for no drone. Congrats on the car, wish I had one at your age, and a lot of these nay sayers do too! Jealousy is a b*tch! Have fun, be safe, and treat her right!

i have a lt but have a magnaflow axle back exhaust with american racing long tube headers and hi flow cats. i sounds sweet but when punched can be loud. it all depends on what you want to spend money wise but you have to remember bout the warranty to. also the fact that you are younger would not help you if you do make your car loud.

Nice car man...that's cool. Screw the haters, damn I get tired of that. They are just jealous, but so am I...beats the hell out of my 1977 Chev pickup I had in HS.
A word of advice from someone who drives a car with red and blue lights for work ...be careful with those lights and drawing too much attention to yourself with an overly loud exhaust. I work a large city, but in small town's (which it sounds like your from) some of those good ole boy cops can be bastards...okay some city guys too. Most coppers love a nice fast car, hell it's a benefit of the job, but some don't cut any slack and if you get caught trying to by sneaky with hidden switches and all...well enough said.Enjoy the car, respect it's power, take a "skid car" driving course...although at 16 we were all perfect drivers Enjoy...welcome to the Camaro world.
