I hope you get your $500 back from FedEx. It would be funny if you got back the sales price for the claim.

From the pics the buyer sent, it really does look like they were damaged in shipping. Maybe he was right.

However, he's still a tool for taking the easy way out and extorting you instead of filing a shipping claim.

It isn't that "he war right." I was right. I told him the damage occurred during shipping which was his responsibility.

He was accusing me of misrepresenting the item in my ad. I did not. In the ad I even said there was one small chip in one wheel which had been touched up. However, the lips got scuffed during shipping. I just felt that since he didn't pay me to ship the wheels, he should have handled the claim through the shipping company (FedEx) and not me.

But, as you pointed out, all the ebay rules are in favor of the buyers. I was afraid ebay would tell me to give him back all of his money and I'd get the damaged wheels back.

And he should accept the wheels. Terri didn't pack them up and ship them becaue he agreed to pick-up.

I agree, I just didn't say it right. I just meant that it looks like they really were damaged in shipping. At first I thought they probably weren't damaged at all, and the buyer was just trying to use the ebay rules to extort money from you.

Yeah, agreed with him that they were damaged. The point of contention was that he was saying I misrepresented the item in my ebay listing (which I did not). My reply to him was that they were damaged in shipping and I did not ship them, He had them shipped on his own.

Tell the buyer to contact Savini directly. I hear they have a special magic marker that will fix that right up!

I guarantee Savini has lost thousands of dollars in sales because of this thread alone.

The funny thing is, they obviously don't care.
