Exactly, I put 5K down on mine in June 2008, order went thru in November 2008 and I didn't know the actual price until Mid Feb 2009.

They know what it will cost them to make but maybe haven't decided on the final price.

no idea. maybe to see how many pre-orders they get? then they will determine the final price based off that? who knows why they do what they do sometimes....

Thanks Becky !! From the information that you gave us, when will dealers know if and when they will get an allocation? When will the final color palette be known and when can individuals actually order a ZL1. Thanks for your help.

Don't know about your dealers, but mine won't stick me if I order first and MSRP comes in too high. I just get my deposit back. They aren't building any before the price comes out so its no big deal to cancel if the price turns out to be retarded.

I know I won't have to pay more than MSRP anyway, so with that we kinda know what the price is already. Since as I checked out earlier, the Shelbys start around 54k CDN, I'm gonna say that is a pretty good ballpark, which puts US around 48-50k. If its way off of these figures I'd be really surprised. Much higher than that you might as well buy a vette, so Its gotta be in between SS and Vette.
