You can find either camera in places like Henry's or Vistek. I also saw the Contour at BestBuy a couple days ago. Another option I looked was the cheap Flip cameras. They are only around $100 but I was not able to find any sort of mount option for them. Beyond that I'm not sure if anything else is available that would work well.

I've been told you won't notice the difference between the 2 GoPro cameras so I plan on buying the cheaper one for $199 at bestbuy plus the suction mount for $35.

Just picked up a GoPro at Henry's in Brampton HD Motorsports HERO, charging as I type. $349 + taxes think he said he had one more in stock.

just got the gopro HD
I was told track driving at 1080P/30fps doesnt look that good.720P/60fps does the trick. I am going to test it tonight on the forks of the credit.
