I've been wanting this for a long time now. With 8K+ on the odo and no problems I'm hopeful any need for the warranty would have arisen by now.

Only concern is lifter tick. If its just an acoustical nuisance I'll tune and live with it till I can replace them and do some serious engine work. If its a real mechanical problem then I may have to put off my tune for a little more.

Thoughts?

LS3 or L99?

You should have any engine concerns taken care of before you start mods.

Or you could just go ahead and fix it your self while doing a cam

Ted.

L99.

I get the lifter tick for a moment after startup then it goes away so I'm not really sure whether its a signigicant issue

Cam sounds nice

Fairly common with L99 AFM lifters.

When we do a cam on an L99, We pull the heads and change out the Lifters with the much better LS3 lifters so you can Kill Two birds with one Stone.

Ted is the AFM in the L99 the same as the L76, I always had lifter tick with my G8 Gt? Just curious.

Quick question for Ted. With your 93 octane tunes what happens if you accidentally put 87 octane in? Does the ECM revert to the 87 table which would cause us to have to do the 5/20 fuse pull. This hasn't happened to me yet but I almost put 93 in my work truck so I can see the time I might put 87 in the Camaro by accident! Just wondering!

Nothing the car will have reduced performance until you get 93 back in there.

I don't recommend racing it with 87 octane though.

Installed my tune from Ted this morning.
I only had time to take it for a ride around the block but it runs great.
Best of all, no AFM.
Thanks for your service Ted. And for answering all my newbie questions

I love the no AFM. Car feels great. I thought the shifts would be more snappy, but maybe its just me.

Thanks for the Feedback.

Everyone has different expectations of how an Auto should shift, I certainly won't do anything that I think would hurt your transmission Long Term, and I make the shift the way I think they should.

The TCM Does Learn How you Drive so if you drive it like you Stole it, it will learn to shift harder.

Good Luck and Have Fun.

Ted.

Just put in my order today after a handful of emails back and forth with Ted. Cant wait for it to show up as I have a crap tune (from someone else) and the car runs like garbage. Spent the extra cash for overnight shipping so I will be glued to the window waiting for it to be delivered.
