From personal exp airraid is by far the worst . No increase on the dyno with it and it gave mixed results switched to AEM which most muscle car guys stay clear of because it's a "tuner" brand but had the biggest pick up even over the K&N

You need to add the CAI Inc. CAI to the poll results, I have one and love it. It is probably where you got most of the "other" votes from. From what I understand and from the last poll I saw it was by far the most popular.

CAI, Roto, and VR are the three mentioned the most and for good reason. Their gains are consistent. The only drawl back for me with VR was tilting back the radiator. CAI and Roto both are sealed from the engine bay heat. I highly recommend an intake that has some form of seal to close off from the bay.

The cost seems "high", but the intake really comes alive and the bang for your buck really comes when you get a tune done... then add headers and exhaust and the intakes effectiveness is improved drastically.



You read wrong...if this was the case then more than half of the members would not have intake systems. 10-14 hp gains on a stock engine without a tune is great for intake on a stock engine with no other mods. Something CAI, VR, ROTO, all do routinely and have proven in independent testing over stock.

What you may have read is that some webpages have a "GMPP performance intake" which is nothing more than a dress up kit for the exterior of the intake.

Cold Air Inductions by farrrrr! Worth every bit of penny spent on it. Better MPG, great HP, improved exhaust note, and love the vaccum like sound when you give it some gas. I heard the ADM Performance Scoop even brings it to a further level. Thinking about getting the scoop also, just curious on what HP that added to the standalone CAI intake....

And here I thought I had decided on the Halltech yellow jacket. Does no one have anything nice to say about the Halltech? I thought it outperformed the CAI in the last Jannety test. Equal to the CAI in HP gain but picked up more torque.

Anyone with first hand experience with both?

Halltech also makes approx 10 hp. Increased about 2 miles per gallon after about a month of checking. I love it.
