If you have the money for a 2012 challenger SRT8 I would say go with that one. I would if I had the money to fork up $45k

I havent driven a new charger so i cant comment on that but my mom owns a chally r/t and i do like it but it doesnt handle or brake like my V6 camaro. The chally is i would say better day to day cruise long distance than a camaro cause its ride is better and more cushier. It does have more room on the inside and u can have a Decent Nav system in it. Looks can be a toss up as i think the dodge have a better color options than the camaros.

I met a guy who goes to my church with a modded 2011 392 Challenger. His dad owns a dealership and they do all his work. Now unless he was getting CELs all the time with all his mods and at the same time putting down 550RWP, somebody tuned it, somehow! I wish I had his contact info to ask if he knew how they got around the encryption, but I suppose the dealers have the keys to the ECU's encryption scheme...

I have a buddy with a SR/T Challenger, 2009 with the 5.7 engine and he's been to the shop more than 3 times for transmission, 2 for ride quality, and it just went back on sunday... Camaro give you more bang for the money, performs better than Challenger all around and costs less than comparable Mustang. For what it doesn't have that the Stang does, spend the difference on what would make your Camaro even better ;-)

If you're looking for performance, Camaro is king in this circle. Although I hear the new SRT-8s are packin 470hp.....

Now I am biased here too, but first of all 2coolZ has it right NO muscle car I repeat NO muscle car has 4 doors, I can't believe you would even put the Charger in the same group as the Camaro and Challenger, and not have the Mustang in the choices. As for my opinion, just as others have stated here the Challenger SRT8 is a great looking car but it is way over priced IMO, I can't stand Mustangs so lets see the Camaro is faster, less expensive, and has the looks of a super model, now I see why my wife and I bought two of them.

I had that dilemma when I was deciding between the SS and a Challenger, having had a Charger I can tell you that while the LX platform is a nice one I think the Camaro platform is allot better for performance. While the SRT engineers have done a good job with the 392 Challenger, I feel the SS has more potential being that the chassis is already such a good foundation and has allot of room for growth. Heck if you can afford it go for the ZL1 which is truly going to be an awesome car. Both cars turn heads in the end test drive them both and see which one speaks to you more. When I did well I ended up with the SS because of the styling, performance, and the heritage.
