Isn't Sweden known as the neutral country? I don't think these cars even have neutral. Dang boy. Nice pics. Thanks!

Then you have a small country like Sweden running purpose built in America Camaro race cars ????????

What gives????????

I bet they even have hot trophy girls.

I am with you - road course racing is the best test to see which driver/car combo is the best.

My gut tells me that Ford and Dodge were so overwhelmed by the Camaro buzz that they pushed for their sorry answers for muscle cars to run in NASCAR. I agree that the Monte Carlo/Taurus/Avenger/Camry mentality needs to go.

Dynamic,
Keep us updated with a schedule of events - I'll be there, and will try to bring many others.

See you in Feb 2012!

Keep us updated with a schedule of events.:
I can't answer that unfortunately, I'm only a mechanic. I'm not sure if you even can drive it on the track without a racing license even if it's not officially a part of the race event? Perhaps you would know something about this?

There are four CCR cars for sale on the Camaro Cup home page (http://www.camaro-cup.com/pages/75/torget/) you probably could use google translate to convert the page to english! The cars that are priced have a price tag of 77.000 USD and includes extra parts such as wheels etc. These are not brand new cars however. I do not think the price we pay for new cars would reflect the price you in the states would pay considering that all parts are produced in the states, shipped over seas and on top of that adds 25% tax.

And ofc, given that you have a CCR car I think you would be very welcome to precipitate in the race

UPDATE!

The races have the official GREEN LIGHT! The minimum amount of registered cars for entry have been reached!

There are however hundreds of Camaro cup photos in lower resolution on his homepage http://deltaphoto.imagedesk.se/search.htm?skip=0. Notice that up to 2010 teams could also enter with the gen 4 Camaro, but since 2011 only gen 5 is allowed.
Thanks for telling us about this and posting the pics! I am such a huge Camaro fan and a fan of all motorsports and I have never heard of this series. Very cool!
