SO I ordered my car 1lt Aqua Blue Metallic the beginning of March and they ordered it like three weeks ago and sent me the paper work and everything. Will my price be raised or not because if it is I will probably have to cancel the order?

i know that there is a price sheet shown from oct 08 on the site but if you print it and take it to a dealer they might say "dont believe everything you see on the internet"

i'm really over a barrel because i have not seen anything real on supplier pricing so i dont even have anything to print and take in. (i'm sure nobody really feels bad for the guys getting supplier pricing)
i just dont want to FINALLY get my supplier pricing and it be more than the original MSRP! LOL
There won't be any defense. At that point, it will be take it or leave it, and I'm sure the dealership will hope you leave it in hopes they can mark it up some for sale on the lot.

I hate to say it but if you're worried about your dealer ripping you off and raising the rate on you when you already have an order in, then maybe that dealer was not who you should have handed your money to. There are no promises here, but for the most part if you have a build sheet and your order was before the price increase, which all R6P's should have been, then you should be able to reason with your dealer. We have been told that we ARE price protected. I know there were words from Camaro Scotty saying exactly that. We've known a price increase would happen eventually but we should be safe. I would forward all questions to YOUR dealer. No one knows if your going to get ripped off but him. Maybe buying him a gift wouldn't hurt either. From the wording on the post, cars will be invoiced at new MSRP but will show a credit for price protected cars. I would think that if you are armed with this knowledge you won't get bamboozled.

I would recommend going onto the chevrolet.com/camaro site NOW and printing out your build. That's pretty solid. They should be honoring the price that is on that site.

Yeah, I just noticed that too. I wonder if that means the Hurst will be available from the factory soon...

Who the hell would take the time to do this for a joke, and nothing is really alarming abou it. Weve heard about the price increase from time, the only thing that is really different is the charge for IOM

So basically if you order after april 9th the price increase will kick in, but if you ordered before your good? Well that sucks good thing i ordered mine on the first day looks like I'll be fine.

Still, I dont know why they would do this, I know its a business but when the economy sucks why go through this to raise the price. The camaro is a hot car it will sell and chevy can make their money. I dont know maybe Im just not seeing it, sure some dealers may mark up the car to see if anyone bites but Im not born yesterday, the times suck and most people that are on the fence about it maybe scared away now because they'll have to pay more. To me thats just not a good move given the state GM is in. I want to see them get better but really thats not good.

Convenient how they set MSRP low until all the major reviews factored that into comparisons with the other ponies, then bumped it up right after.

Good business = poor ethics IMO

Ahhh yes, one step closer towards not affording the camaro, all i can do is cross my fingers an hope that this one doesn't carry over to Canada. But surely it will, share the disadvantage with us but not the deals, sigh.

I was at the dealer today doing some paperwork and they were already aware of the price increase. I think it is pretty shitty of GM, but I am glad I ordered in March.

I thought about that too and I am going to do it now so I have something to protect me. No offense to anyone that is a dealer or works at a dealership, but I tend not to trust what I'm told. Guess I'm just paranoid and usually think I'm getting screwed some way or another.
