How in the heck are we supposed to be "protected"? The dealers are going to go off of what CURRENT MSRP is when our cars arrive. Proving otherwise is going to be difficult...I doubt printing off a forum thread is going to do much.
Well if it comes to the point where you're getting shafted, then you tell the salesman to F-off and you demand your deposit back. You don't pay a dollar over the original MSRP. There are way too many dealers around who are happy to sell a car at MSRP.

I went to a dealer and brought all my own paperwork. He was pretty much clueless when it came to pricing on anything above the basic MSRP.

The defense move is you demand your deposit be handed back to you.

3. Now second change Effective April 1, 2009
This thread #23

R6P did not show up on original OrderWorkbenches
I originally ordered 10/13/08 was not on workbench
Made a change to my order on 12/9/08 and still was not on workbench
Made another change on 3/9/09 and R6P showed up on workbench.

What I would like to know is are all of us with a pre-order what is the actual pricing that we are locked into?

Hey man, I got a question. Why is the auto-transmission more expensive on the 2LT & 2SS than it is for the 1LT & 1SS?

It's 26580 minus the 750 destination charge

Hey bro, as far as I'm concerned, everything is negotiable. You don't owe any more than what you agreed upon - you might even get off paying less if you play your cards right. That's just how I look at it.

What you agreed with your dealer when you got your workbench...especially if you have the R6P code. Unless you have a bad dealer.

I just went to the chevrolet website and did the build and printed it out and also grabbed a screen shot because my printer sucks right now. I ordered IOM and it shows $0 for it right now. The only extras I show are $1,200 for the RS package and $470 for the stripe package and of course they do not have an option for the hurst shifter. Mine came out to 35,850 including DFC, but of course it does not show TT&L. This better be what I am gonna pay. I just know they're gonna try to screw me some how becuase I remember the salesman telling me that prices could go up or they could go down etc.... I'm gonna show them the sheet where it says we are protected for early orders, but I just have a feeling its gonna be a fight.

Isn't that great tell us about a Total Confidence Program that won't cost us a dime!
Then increase the price of the car, all the extras and it's freight. Give me a break, if the dealer tells me my car will cost more than my quote- you might as well file for bankruptcy. I'll buy another car from someone that doesn't cover up price increases with fake excuses.

So now I have a final price in writing and a $1000.00 credit. Even with all that, you never know what will happen the day the car arrives and I go to pick it up.
This is exactly what I have also. A signed Motor Vehicle Purchase Contract with the negotiated price listed at the bottom, right down to the last penny. And I even managed to get it for $100 under MSRP. <---- (A small victory maybe..... but a victory no less)

I'm not worried about the price increase. It's really not that complicated. If you order before April 9th you'll get the car at the price that is in effect right now. Order after the 9th and you'll pay the higher price. We all knew long ago that this one was of the benefits of ordering early and really shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone.

Breath deep.......... release............ repeat three times.............. it's going to be ok!
