He with better tires and prep will prevail in the autocross.

V6 manual will take any non HR 350z stock for stock, HR standing for the special high rev models. They are mid 14 second cars so about even with an auto V6. Manual like I said is faster.

What are mid 14 second cars? The new Camaro V6?

The HR 350z's do 0-60 in 5.1-5.2 and the quarter mile in 13.6-13.7 based on official reviews, real world has seen a number of 13.1x passes by different drivers stock. The V6 Camaro is not touching it, sorry. I have posted in the past videos of stock HR 350z's running low 13's completely stock (including a 13.1 run), here is an HR 350z with mild bolt-on's and DR's running a 12.5:

Assuming equal drivers, the V6 camaro still has a chance against the oldest 2003-2004 (280 HP) model DE (especially autos and/or roadsters), and even the 2006 model which, despite a bump in HP over previous years, is recorded as one of the slowest based on real-world drag times. The older model Z's should be faster, but there are some pretty fail 350z drivers out there.

For reference, I own an HR 350z and have spent plenty of time driving 2010-2011 V6 Camaros to know the new V6 Camaro is not anywhere near the same league as a newer (07-08) 350z. This isn't to say I don't like the Camaro- I just wouldn't have been happy with the V6.

Um buddy I clearly stated any no high rev z. A non high rev z will lose to a v6 manual and will be about even with an auto v6

Thanks for the pointless history lesson on your car though.

The 'maro will lose to anything, even a donkey. The 5th Gen V6 Camaro on the other hand could pull an upset vs the Z in a straight line now and again, not often tho. In road course, the Z will leave the Camaro behind very easily.

I'd say that pretty much any year manual Z should beat a V6 Camaro (minus the roadster), even the earliest models, if driven correctly.

In the real world, it's a driver's race, but even the oldest and slowest Z had the potential and more than a few drivers who were able to run 13.6-13.7's stock. There is absolutely zero potential in the V6 2010-2011 Camaro for a 13.6-13.7 stock, they would be happy with low 14's.

The 350z guys would love this thread.

350z is a high 13 sec car. With excellent driving in good conditions, they can run mid 13s.

Low 13s are extremely rare (comparable to running mid 12s in a stock Camaro SS).

The last time I checked the stock 1/4 mile list from a popular 350z forum, only a few guys had run low 13s. Most the times in the top 10 were in the mid 13s.

But that's considerably faster than a V6 Camaro.

No no and no you are looking at times for the HR Zs. HR Z is different animal.

No no...and no again. Any non HR Z my team and I would run anytime because we saw how slow they actually are. They are mid to high 14 second cars stock get over it. Manual v6 will slaughter any Non HR Z.

Make that clarification because non HR is slower!

I like how everyone is focused on if a 350Z can beat a Camaro or not and no one realizes that yes, the 350Z might beat our V6 Camaro, but atleast we don't look like a little girl while doing it.
