I have heard Magnaflows with their resonated X-Pipe. It makes the exhaust sound nice and deep and it is actually not much louder than stock. It just sounds 10x's better. The exhaust tips look really nice too and you're only replacing the garbage cans out back and the stock H-pipe with the M'flow X-pipe. I've riden in this set up and it would be very easy to live with. No drone anywhere though the owner says he gets a small amount under certain rpm/load levels-I guess. He admitted he was being very nit picky. I'm not sure how much he payed but I think it's in your ball park. Look up KMPrenger.

Now if your willing to stretch a few hundred $$$'s ARK is having a moving sale on their gorgeous full cat back systems. I believe their NT exhaust is designed to have no drone. I think they're asking 798.00 or something like that. I've seen ARK exhausts priced as high as 1400.00. It's all 100% 304 mirror polished stainlesss steel. No other manufacturer that i know of can make this claim.

I own the SOLO cat back exhaust but it's also 899 shipped. It's a very good sounding exhaust too and I love it. Just don't think they're what you're looking for.

I have never heard MRT's in person. A lot of ppl here love them but some have also complained about drone. As I've said before "One man's drone is another man's sonic paradise."

Take your time with this decision. You have to live with, might as well get it right. Check out the exhaust sticky above and put on a good pair of headphones and have a listen.

Good luck.

Exhaust sound and drone are personal things... What sounds good to you and what may not bother you is completely different for someone else... There are some that will find the drone on the MRT systems too much, but the majority seem to find the level very acceptable... No one can tell you what your level of tolerance is...

Can you provide links to the ARK exhausts? Having trouble finding this deal. Thank you.

A lot of members love their MRT2's. I seriously considered them, but ended up with DynoMax VT and I absolutely love them. The best thing you can do (if you can) is to go listen to them in person. Videos don't do them justice.

Here are a couple of my videos before I added the Roto-Fab cai.

Begformercy167 – Welcome to Camaro5.com and congratulations on your Camaro purchase! Picking an exhaust system for your car can be tough. We make it easier by producing a 409S Stainless Steel Axle-Back (with a Lifetime Warranty) that’s an easy installation you can do at home with some simple hand tools so you can save money on installation. The Flowmaster American Thunder for the V6 (PN:817483) has a throaty aggressive sound of a small-cubic inch European V8 exotic and showed an increase in power and torque during our dyno testing. The cost of this system is right in your projected price range, especially if you shop around with site sponsors.

Good luck choosing the right exhaust.
