What is a resonator delete? I was reading a guy had done it, what does this entail and what does it improve and most of all where the heck is it

Found on the internet, "A resonator is a glass pack or small muffler looking thing, designed to mellow out the tone of your exhaust. Used in conjunction with your catalytic converter (emissions) and your muffler (self explainatory), the resonator attempts to break up the sound of each combustion into more of a hum."

Ok so it is in the exhaust system, I wonder why you would delete the resonator then unless it restricts air flow going out the exhaust to maybe help it breathe better maybe?
Thanks for explaining it brother!

By the way did your car come in?

Not a bad idea. Companies do this to the SS.
Why not do it for the LT's also.
Bet you there is a market for them and they would sell.

Now many of us have been fooling around with the fact that the TEAMLLT Camaro is a "Limited Edition Camaro".

So the next time I get asked, I plan to answer with this;

My Camaro is a Limited Edition Performance Package 2010 V6 Camaro, which includes the following items.

Eibach lowering springs
Eibach sway bars
INJEN cold air intake
MRT axle back exhaust
VMAX ported throttle body
RX Oil Catch Can
Trifecta tune
Stillen Front Spoiler

And limited emblem and embroidered TEAM LLT logo's.

Along with a host of other goodies, such as:

Aluminum Billet Sill plate
Aluminum Billet Race pedals
Aluminum Billet pieces under the hood.
ROTO-FAB radiator cover
LED Lighting package for the interior, trunk and under the hood.

This should make a few people go and home and think for a little while........

Yes it came in on the 3rd of Sept. Weather here has not been great to get out with it. I will be getting a few pictures to post by the end of this week. First week I had it I had to go to an event in Columbus. Ohio Highway Patrol Band was there. On of their cars and I pulled out of the parking lot at the same time. Nice ride back home 80-85MPH for 110 miles straight up I-71 with a Highway Patrol car leading the way.

Indeed we did. But who remembers what happens at the bon fires anyway. ..........

Just testing for positive feedback to see if the idea is worth pitching.......

There are a ton of threads on here with resonator deletes. Just do a search. Many have sound clips too. The others posts hit it correctly. Look under your Camaro and you will see the resonators. People are having those removed to get a deeper growl.

IMHO your V6 is a smokin ride. Beautiful and clean, not all glammed up. My wife's is a Red Jewel LT and I am currently doing appearance mods to hers to make it look even more classy. I'll be PM' ing you for some info for sure....thanks for sharing!! --Cactus Eater 2SS/RS

the best way to keep a car classy is not to mod it very much. like my moms caddy all we did was 20% tints. keeps a nice classy look. no rims, no smoked tail lights, no decals or badges etc

but camaros are not very classy cars if you ask me.
