Well this is a fine way to get people to but new GM vehicles. They will go Bankrupt if they continue to do stuff like this. I think that's what they want.

oooookkkkaaayyy then .... people.... relax. If you placed an order prior to march 16th you are price protected - Period. That has been confirmed by several sources including through the GM media. The R6P code is supposed to be on the RPO sticker in the car if you pre-ordered (i.e. placed an order prior to march 16th). There seems to be many of us that this code does NOT show up on the WorkBench printouts. I am one. But that said, it seems that different dealers only know how to print out different reports from the WorkBench system. For example, I placed an order in October with one dealer - got the WorkBench sheet; then 2 months later I placed another order with a second dealer and cancelled the first one (to move up the priority list) and got a different Workbench report from that dealer. They are similar - but have differences. The 2nd dealer also gave me a report from Workbench that shows all Camaros they have on order with the selected RPO codes for each one. I've checked all 3 of these reports and none of them say R6P on them. I just hope that code is on the car!

So in short, unless you ordered today, or your dealer is crooked, I don't think you have any thing to worry about.

Everyone, let's not turn this into a bitch fest and start threatening to cancel and go off on your dealer. Remember the rules of the site. To many times we have seen a messenger get shot just for relaying changes, which are inevitable.

We all have been told since October 13th the prices would change at some point in time. This year we were informed, and it was confirmed if the order was placed prior to March 15th the order will be price protected.

Now, let's wait til April 9th, to see what the prices are. Anything less is wasting a great opportunity to get the facts, and bask in the thought knowing you were bright enough to pre-order the car.

I know, this is old news... it has been known for quite some time... why is everyone just now freaking out about it? The pre-order price protection was a big topic of conversation, as well as the "supposed" future price increase... now it is "official" and everyone is blowing up...?

But the price sheet DOES reflect price increases.

All EMPLOYEE PRICES have gone up from what was formerly announced with MSRP the same, and a few other things like DFC went up as well.

I think they are just sticking it to their own employees and leaving customers with the same price. Why would they make changes to half the numbers and then say that the other numbers will not be released until later. This is probably it. Maybe delivery is going up because gas prices have gone up the past couple weeks.

Employee Price formerly, then Now:
LS 20504.18 20726.63
1LT 22000.20 22239.00
2LT 24470.70 24736.50
1SS 27824.18 28126.63
2SS 30738.45 31092.75

Or maybe this is just GMs April Fool's joke to their employees, like ha your fired just kidding.

THis is not good ,I have had total convidence on GM. I have been investing in GM for a while now. The stock has gone down and i continue to stick with them with the hope they would get out this mess. They should be lowering the prices , not making them more expensive. They need to sell cars and a move like this is not helping. I'm sorry but this makes no sense to me. I will wait and see what happens first, I will not jump to any conclusions. If they do decide to increase there MSRP, this tells me they are not trying to sell more cars. They have 60 days that Obama has provided relief , doing things like this will not help. I tell you this much, if the price does increase I will sell all my shares and take the loss. everyone seems to be worried about themselfs, i ordered before this so i get price protections. thats not the issue , we want GM to continue to be around for the future. We want a 6 and 7th generation. We want the Z28 but if they are doing business like this is not worth my investments in there company nore there cars. I will wait a see, if the price increase happens all faith will be lost.

I hope I'm not the only one that feels this way, but this really gets me pisses me off

I'll ask it again. How can GM force a dealer to honor this? MSRP is only the Suggested Retail Price.

As long as their is a high demand for the Camaro
the price should adjust for the value we put on it, you can see that the camaro price can go up ! If that lot in Oshawa was full and dealers had very little demand for them! Chit, I am up in the weeee hrs again , fallling asleep wiht my finger on dumb keys that repeated a thousand times Good Nite

Get it in writing, if they refuse to sign it, then you know they will not honor it..

Who cares !!

Who cares right now, we want to be the first ones driving these babies on main street b4 some joe can buy one off the lot! So us pre-order buffs are willling to pay the premium ......right! I would pay another 5 G's if need be. There would be a point where i would have to consider a Vette tho, thats why I'm pricing one right now!
