Why would you write off the whole city because of one editorial? I've been several times and it's actually a fun place to go. Would you write off New York because of an editorial in the Post?

Don't bring your manual transmission car there though:
I had a friend take me on that hill while learning how to drive my first manual transmission. I guess I should say former friend after all the choice words coming from my mouth.

I wouldn't write off the whole city, I'd write off the whole state. Or at least all of it west of the San Andreas fault, I've been hoping for years that it would shear off at the fault and disappear into the Pacific making the "left coast" a little smaller.

Gheez thanks for bashing not only San Francisco (SF Bay Area) because of some lousy writer and his uninformed/unjustified writing. And then go even farther to bash good ole Cali. I love the Bay Area and CA because most people respect each other's right to their own opinions and tend to be some of the most accepting people I've ever met. Where your friends are picked by common interests and not bigoted biases. Please lets just talk about the wonderful Camaro that we all here can't wait to get behind the wheel of and enjoy. And those who don't like the Camaro, well that is their choice but then I would suggest they don't come here.

Wow, no offense, some of the most bigoted and disrespectful people in the country live in your sweet little town.

Well I think we can find bigoted and disrespectul people any where if that is what you are looking for. I just hate the generalizations being made about ALL people from the SF Bay Area and then the further somewhat hateful remarks towards California. There may be people from other parts of the US or the world who I don't agree with but to attack everyone from the same place would be just wrong. And I guess that is what I wanted to point out. Obviously this so-called journalist is very off since he can't even get the facts straight. But to cast negativities towards all of us from the Bay Area and California is uncalled for.

AND then to just say let's just focus on the amazing vehicle that most of us posting here will soon own. I'm assuming that is why most of us joined this forum months/years ago, because of our passion for the CAMARO. So let's not ruin it by getting nasty and making mean generalizations.

I guess I got a little carried away, but unfortunately my impressions come from many years of similar diatribes on many different topics emanating from that area. And I do realize that not everyone in a particular region or area thinks the same, but you must admit there is an awful lot of publicity garnered from those many similar diatribes over the years. And I certainly think the "writer" (and I use the term loosely) did no research about the new Camaro and never let facts stand in the way of his statements. So forgive me for getting carried away and I'll be very happy to hear/appreciate what other enthusiasts in CA in general and the SF Bay Area in particular have to say about the new Camaro in the future.

SF Chronicle newspaper article about the Camaro

Is this a April Fool's Joke article or not? You make the call. It was published either way.

The funny thing is, the Chronicle had 1500 people take volunteer severance packages and they're still gonna lay off people because they lost over 50 million last year.

I think the personal attacks at the people that like the Camaro and other muscle cars make his articles worthless.

I often wonder exactly what people who I zip passed in one of my "muscle cars" are thinking. Now I know. But, I really don't give a crap what they think. I buy what I buy and drive what I drive because it pleases me, not anyone else. Some happen to give me a thumbs which is great and that only adds to the experience. I actually feel sorry for the guy when his best moments are spent bitching and moaning about GM making the Camaro...

There is a story why he doesn't like the Camaro. Back in 1969 he got beat up by the Jock in High School who drove the Bad @$$ 69 Camaro SS. Then his Girl left him for the same Jock who beat his @$$ after realizing what a TOOL he was for always writing stupid crap in the High School news paper. He's just taking out his pain on the Camaro...

Does he realize a Prius causes more damage to the environment than a hummer?
