September 2011 - Fender Bender

So driving home on Thursday and some jerk tries to fill the spot I am driving in with his car. He ends up side swiping my baby





Car was straight into the shop Friday morning and I'm hoping to get her back on Monday.

To try and cheer myself up I ordered her a get well present - BBK Long Tube headers

Just found out something new about my Camaro tonight. She has 2 different size side mirrors. The one on the passenger side is slightly longer than the driver side.

Got my baby back tonight - She looks as good as ever. BBK LT's have been shipped and hope to get them by Friday so I can get them installed at the weekend

Apparently they are all like that - I only noticed when I was inspecting the work from the body shop. They had to replace the passenger side mirror and I noticed the difference in size while I was checking it out - I made the guy bring out my old one as I was convinced he'd ordered the wrong one ! It was exactly the same

That damage wasn't as bad as I thought it would be from hearing you tell the story.

Can't wait to tear into it this weekend for the header install...

Hey it's my baby, I can exaggerate if I want ! lol

It's not clear from the photos but the metal was creased, particularly on the wheel arches.

Yep can't wait to get the headers on and feel some more power !

Newest addition to the car

BBK LT Headers (Silver Ceramic Coated) part #40410

About 6 hours of installation with the help of BACH in his garage - thanks man, I owe you big time.

I've woken the beast Superb sound and a definite boost in the seat of the pants - just need Vince to send me an updated tune and I'll be good to go.

Oh and no CEL..........yet

I will post a video of before & after later on today.

I wondered that myself - I guess if I reload the stock tune then I'll find out The 13HP tune must change some settings that stop the CE coming on.

I started to record one yesterday but my neighbors were in their front yards so I only recorded the cold start. I am off sick today so have taken advantage and just recorded one - Once I get it uploaded I will post it below.
