Outdoor Car Cover -- Suggestions PLEASE!!
With Fall and Winter upon us all too soon, it looks like my poor baby may have to spend some time out in the elements. Can anyone suggest a good OUTDOOR car cover? I've seen mostly indoor covers...
Thanks! |

I bought the GM outdoor cover for the Camaro, part #92215993. It is expensive, fits really well, is easy to get on and off, and has been fine so far. I'm using it daily now to keep the leaves and other stuff from the trees off. I don't plan on using it in winter, and have only had it a little over a month.

I have an indoor one on mine, and once it's on for the winter, it only comes off in the spring. The better ones are snug fit covers, custom made to fit the car. The more you put it on and remove it, especially with a dirty car, the more chances of scratching the paint. I feel your pain. I've had a few brand new vehicles at an apartment complex. No garage sucks. |

Skip a cover, use the high pressure hoses at the DIY car washes when dirt, salt & grime build up around the wheel wells. Also consider some waterless car washing systems for light cleaning spots... just spray, let it set for a minute and lift with a heftier micro fiber cloth (specifically for waterless washing).

You have a nice car and i know that you are trying to protect her, but i think you will do more damage with a cover if you have dirt on it and keep taking it on and off, since it is your daily driver.

Are there trees where you park? If there are, you won't want to leave it uncovered. Tree sap is brutal, leaves sitting on the paint can leave stains, then there's pollen, bird crap, etc.
