Angry Deep scratches, removal?

Hello C5ers.I went out for lunch today and parked in a fairly crowded parking lot. When I came back, I found 3 key marks on my passenger door of my SUV. It's deep at the starting point and gets lighter as it dragged across. I don't know what I could've done to deserve this. I parked straight and right dead center between the parking lines.

Any suggestions or tips as to how to remove it myself or any reputable body shop in Los Angeles?

Pics:

The dark line area to the right is the deep part that took away some of the paint.

I buffed most of the lighter portions out with Meguiar's Rubbing Compound. Gave it some Meguiar's Polishing Compound and Cleaner Wax after I removed all I could.

I'm sorry but after looking at your pictures the only way to fix these will be a re-paint. The paint has been chipped down to the plastic or primer depending on where this is on your SUV.

i paint for a living.. from what i see they look pretty deep in some spots.. can you feel them with your nail? if not then a wet sand a polish may work, but those look bad.. is it down in the paint to the metal? if they are then your only option is a re paint or a touch up which will not look acceptable to me.. if you have full coverage insurance then put a claim in.. they should cover it.

Yea I already buffed out most of the smooth areas with rubbing compound.
What you see left is the deep areas and you can feel with your fingernails, quite deeply, sadly.....

I think it got through to the metal because this is a 10 year old car and the paint if starting to chip off...

I do have full coverage through AAA. Would they possibly raise my premium if I have them fix something like this?

if its to the metal then its a hopeless cause unless you deal with a touch up or just get a repaint.. as for insurance, you can give them a call.. tell them someone took a key to your car in a parking lot and you would like to know if your full coverage would cover this and whats the risk with a insurance raise.. from what iv dealt with in the past at the shop, most insurance company's wont raise you because you are not a fault for this and its considered vandalism.

Sigh, alright. I guess that's the only sure way to fix this now then. Thanks.

you can fix it at home, but you need to know how to sand, prime, paint, and clear.. unless you just touch it up and live with that..

some body shops will save your your deductible, especially if its $250-$500.. just ask them when you go there..

Save my deductible? I'd still have to pay within the $500 regardless unless there's something I'm not getting.

Perhaps I should just take a course on auto detailing or something lol.
Would Dr. Colorchip help for something like this?

just ask your body shop of choice if there is something they can do to save you your deductible. go to them before you make a claim with insurance and see if they can handle it. you can try that dr color chip, but your gonna still see the key mark, instead its just gonna be a touched up key mark.
