this happen 2 streets behind me today
a shooting accured today at 2pm or 230pm depending on the news ppl. story is a fire fighter got home and interupted a robbery at his home 2 streets away from mine. a fight broke out and the robber was killed instantly, reporters say the fire fighter shot the robber.
SAGINAW — Saginaw police are investigating a fatal shooting Monday afternoon in the 200 block of Straw Road. Investigators said the homeowner, firefighter David Wilson, opened fire around 2:30 p.m. after interrupting a burglary in progress. The gunshot victim was not identified. Police said they seized two cars in the neighborhood, one parked in Wilson's driveway and the other down the street. "Of course, I'm always concerned when something like this happens," said neighbor James Lambert. "But this could be an incident just involving two people. I'm sure it was, but it may have been their situation and I don't think it has anything to do with the neighborhood." Police said it was likely that no charges will be filed against Wilson. yay for the firefighter. Glad the SOB that tried to steal from him/his family is dead.
We just had one of these here in Iowa...guy was asleep in his house, heard a noise at the UNLOCKED door to his house...went over and moved the blinds to see who was at the door...found himself looking directly into the eyes of a guy trying to break in and rob him.
