FINALLLY... another milestone.
Trusses are up... sheeting is on the sidewalls.

Saturday we hired a skytrack operator and put up our trusses. remember these things were 34ft wide and about 420lbs a piece. Then have another piggy back that has to go on top.

For a bunch of amatures, with one guy who knew what was going on, I do not think it went to bad...

Couple of issues though, the rope holding the 3rd truss came undone and almost crashed to the ground, but it got hung up on the walls luckily. We retied it and was able to put it back up.
Then on the 8 or 10th truss the operator leaned the truss back to far or something and it came crashing down over the Skytrack.... not good... we had to keep moving, we thought we had a solution because that truss was going to be doubled up for the staircase, so we left one side a single truss so we could finish it all the way out to the east end of the building. After talking to the Truss manufacturer, our solution will not pass inspection, so they are looking for a fix now. Unfortunatly the missing truss is now in the middle of the building. hahaha.

Other than that, it went fairly smoothly. Mom made lunch for all our helpers, kept the cooler full of drinks, and had some fun.

Sunday we had just a couple friends stop by we sheeted the side walls up to the truss and used the skytrack while we still have it, to put the flooring up stairs.

Next up.... Fascia, trimming the bottom corner of the truss to match the fascia, and sheet and shingle the roof..... 8/12 pitch 20ft off the ground.

Between me being out of town for the next 15 days and Dad being leary of the height now in his not so young age ;-)

I think we may outsource this part of the job. hahaha
