I know the reasoning behind why chevy doesn't support the color (despite my criticism from a few posts previously). Even though I would buy an abm zl1 at the drop of a hat, not having the color won't stop me from buying one eventually.

I just hope chevy doesn't do a number on me like offer ABM or Lemans Blue next year.........when I'm not ready.

I am going on a quote that the "father" made on C5.
On the premise that if we could get GM a order of 10,000 camaros for BRIGHT BLUE then we would get bright blue. But 80 something cars are a long way from 10k orders. Bright Blue simply does not sell as the "father" puts it.
He would love to have a lemans blue or similar as well, but unfortunately
every one on C5 including the "father", and you and me both can rant and rave how much we want a bright blue or another shade of blue to GM.
GM would oblige but the problem is in the past have proven no matter how much we rant and rave we want a blue color as this, that we the general public do not buy GM cars in this color. We buy other colors FIRST. So, its the buying public's fault we do not have this color.
Now this is for GM. Not word for word, but fairly close. I do not have any information or statistics for Ford, or any other of the big three.

My point while is (not related to colors in general) that the lowest production ever was for almost 10k more camaros than in his doubt. IE, it was doubtful to me that 2012 would be a year where they made LESS than the 29,000 or 20,000.

Right. I think my only point was being that we don't want to limit what GM can do, or what they MIGHT do.
Fbodfather has told us to "keep the faith."
GM wants to make camaro owners happy. C5 are a moral majority of those people they want to make happy, and who GM and Chevrolet have they're eyes on. Would they go outside the norm and give us BRIGHT BLUE METALLIC or LEMANS BLUE, or DUSK BLUE, or SONIC BLUE? That is why I say "anything is possible."
All we can do is repeat those famous words....
