The trucker didn't secure a chain above the car (apparently)
So it swung back and forth for the 3 hour commute, slamming into the car.

These may look like they can be buffed out in the images, but they are bad. They won't buff out, and it also left a hand full of dents in the area.
The dealership (to be announced) will be outed if they don't help me get compensated for the hassle, time lost, etc. So far they've apologized and given me the GM customer support 800 number. That's about the extent of their "help" at the moment. We'll see how the owner of the dealership feels when I hunt down his address and send him a letter explaining my scenario. I'll likely create a whole new post on this, since it went from a happy "I'm getting my car" to a "Here is my first experience with GM". And now- for the eye candy... errr maybe not. Probably over 100 scratches. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

no way I would accept that car. The trucking company is likely liable, but still, the dealer needs to step up and then recoup the lost cost from them.

Hell I counted over 100 scratches per inch of the pic.......sorry, sorry situation. Good Luck on settling the matter...............if mamma isn't happy, nobody else will be.

Looks like some serious neglect matt....really sucks i know you waited a long time. Im trying to understand how that kind of damage can happen on a truck ride..wow. Call becky and go that route if need be..dont settle for what you dont want.

Leaning toward ordering another one. Can't find what I want on any lots.
Only 1 good thing about ordering a new one... no car payments for 2 more months. Bad thing? 2 MONTHS WITH NO ****ING CAR. ![]() The dealership ought to be more helpful and offer something to invite me to order from them again. GM will hopefully give me an incentive to order a GM period. And the truck driver... well, I hope he's taken care of.

The more I think about this whole situation the more I feel resentment toward my dealership.
My gut tells me they were informed of the damage this morning. I have a theory as to why I feel this way... It's not only a gut feeling. Another reason is that I was told I'd get a call as soon as my car arrived. That didn't happen. I drove out there only to find it the way it was. My guess is they were scrambling trying to figure out what to do while I was sitting at work wondering why I haven't gotten my call. If I didn't show up who knows what they'd say. This morning I received an email saying the car was shipped out of OKC TODAY (even though GM told me yesterday it was on a truck in transit). The email said it would be in as early as today and as late as Tuesday... NEXT Tuesday. This covers their ass if it comes in "late" or... comes in on time but they need to do repairs they were informed of this morning. I have no way of really knowing if this is true. But the more I think about it- the less inclined I feel to ever step foot into this dealership again. Sorry for the rambling, I'm my sorrows away.
