OP....better stick with current MY cars....much more applicable.
The OP should do a comparo of the 1964 Mustang vs. the 1964 Camaro.

Oh wait ...

i chose the 2010 because it was the first yr the camaro came back. my professor did not give much background info to what we need so i am kinda winging this. it is compare and contrast but suppose to be leaning towards one on why it is better (im seeing this as almost a persuasive too), so again with the 2010s it is easier to support my thesis with all of the specs.

i do agree with what i was writing with the zl1 part, i will take that out because u also feel as though it should not belong... basically was gonna add that to get my word count up

with the wording on the styling, idk how to put into words the actual "body style" of these two cars...

thanks for the help, working on rough draft right now. also this is not suppose to be like a magazine, just trying to pass here lol

So you are comparing a car with 100+ less HP to another knowing it will sway the favor to one side?

That is like saying global warming is fact because Al Gore said so.....

I have a better idea.......go to your local drag strip and write about the comparison of a 2010+ Camaro SS to a 2011+ Mustang GT.

You should also find as many comparisons as possible (performance). The Mustang GT 5.0 has a slight performance advantage.

But in the looks department (which is subjective) the Camaro dominates the Mustang.

Also - sales figures for both cars from the start would be cool.

I say let the OP do a 10GT vs 10SS comparo if he wants. If memory serves, some automotive journals still chose the 10GT (even with 100 hp less) the better overall car.

I used to own a 10 Camaro V6, so comparing it to my 11 Mustang V6 this is how it stacks up for me:
  • Exterior Styling - Camaro (but the 11 Mustang's update helped close the gap)
  • Interior Styling - Mustang
  • Performance - Mustang (300lbs is 300lbs)
  • Ergonomics - Mustang (I can actually see out of my car now)
Not a hater, just saying ...

it doesnt really matter, its a college paper. not motortrend or car and driver lol
its making it easier for me to write, thats why im doing it. and yes i know the one has 100 more hp, it makes it easier for me to prove my point both 2010s. both muscle car rivals. one is easier to prove that it is better for that year

I'd like to add:
  • chevy did a good job offsetting the Camaro's extra 300 lbs. by giving the SS a bigger motor and by boosting the 2012 V6 to 323 hp
  • the camaro's V6 "feels" smoother when revving
  • the camaro's styling is new/sleek and therefore continues to draw a lot of attention
  • the stang's doors are shorter/lighter, giving somewhat easier egress in parking lots, etc.
  • there's more shoulder room in the camaro
  • there's more headroom in the stang
  • I really miss the camaro's center mounted digital speedo
All-in-all, I'm glad chevy brought the camaro back.

Wouldn't be the same for us mustang owners if they weren't around.
