If you like the style of your Camaro and everything else about it except for the power, which seems to be the case, get the SS. I don't know if your LS is a manual or not but I can tell you after driving multiple SS and Corvettes/muscle cars/exotics for years the LS Camaro has outstanding performance for 23k. Shift a little later and these six bangers really come to life!

I would expect to see more here. I see 3x as many 5th gens than 370Zs

The Z is a race car. It's bred for it. It drives like one. It does nothing better. That makes it badass, but not for everyone. The Camaro carries a stigma that is easily relatable to all potential buyers. That's what makes it successful in GM's eyes, but a failure in yours. I could care less the more Camaro's I see. I know exactly why I bought mine. I know exactly where it belongs on the automotive ladder, and most importantly, I know exactly what it isn't.

very good. you must understand where i am coming from. i bought this car back when it first came out. everyone looked and asked me questions that summer i guess i just really miss that. and i feel the 370z being as rare as it is i would get more looks and more people asking about it. and also i feel the reason why its rarer is because its more of a enthusiast`s car. i like the idea of driving a car that has more enthusiasts driving it.

i know what you are going to ask why not sell my car and get one. well i also love my camaro and put a lot of money into it. i am happy with it. i am also planning of getting the my dream car in about 3-4 years which is a m3. so getting a 370z is not really in the question

Key point, thanks for bringing it up. I agree, that's what I miss about my previous vehicles. You're right that the Camaro will have a significantly less number of enthusiasts/owner ratio, and will have a Mustang like following in that it will become (unfortunately) another filler car for most. I do know where you're coming from, and have experienced the snobbery of another V6 owner (not enthusiast) firsthand when I saw his new Camaro in the campus lot. It is a touchy subject when you admire your vehicle so much and think that other owners will share in that. Unfortunately that's not the case. That's why I think it's better for automotive enthusiasts as a whole to acknowledge each other not based on make or model, but for the love of their machinery.

I came close to ordering a 370Z, my dealer would order me a Z the way I wanted for $33,000. I could not get any Camaro dealers to deal and I was paying cash and wanted a good deal. The only thing that was slowing me down was that the Z had 330 HP and the Camaro had at least 400 HP. I finally found a Camaro dealer on the internet that would deal and that is how I got my Camaro. If I had more cash I would also have a new Z setting next to my Camaro, if I could ever get the wife out of the Z.

They handle well, they're quick, and even the base tends to have a fair amount of gadgets from what I remember.

If it was me, I'd go for it, but that car is really my cup of tea.

I bought my Camaro 2SS after I bought my Z (kept the Z) and love both cars. I test drove older 350Z's, the new 370Z and ended up buying a 2008 350Z Nismo with 19K miles for $24K. I love this car! It out handles my Camaro. I drive the WV back roads which go up and down and have S curves all over the place and the Nismo seems to have no limits. When I drive the Camaro through these same roads I do take it a bit easier because it does feel like it's ready to slide out off the road at speeds 10 - 15 mile slower than what I run with the Z.

That being said, I love both cars. They both have their pros and cons. They only made 1,607 Nismos from 2007 to 2008 and about 40 have been totaled so they are rare and I get plenty of compliments for my 350Z. They have Nismos for the 370, but I found it far too pricey and I wasn't impressed with the redesign of the body. I drive each car for two weeks and then switch to the other and each time I honestly feel like I'm getting to relive that new car feeling.

Tough decision. The 370Z will probably handle really well. Feel very zippy and maneuverable due to its small size and being lighter.

It really comes down to personal preference. I would have considered the Z if it had a back seat. Having a kid limits what you can do. But I still probably would have gotten the SS.

The Z is a great car and handles really well, however whenever C&D take it out on the track something always goes wrong. Last year it was the breaks that failed causing the car to crash and this year the oil temp got too high...

Having probably been one of the few who actually drove a 350-370Z in this thread, I'll add to this.

The Z was a great car to drive, both fun in city and on the highway. Visibility was about the same as the Camaro in terms of blind spots, but it's a sports car, not a minivan. The main complaints I had with the car was it felt no faster than my GTP (which it would have been replacing), lack of interior room, and I felt like a sardine trying to sit in it.

The car was great looking, does have a lot going for it terms of aftermarket and performance. The one downside is that it's more expensive compared to the V8 of a Camaro...still, all modding can and will get expensive at some point.

Since I own an SS, I will say I'm glad I have it over the Z. Ultimately, the lack of room and the fact I really felt like I was stuck in the car half the time made it just too much to overlook.
