I guess I'd be more interested in a "flat out" type day where you have an instructor in the car and it's at your pace, not the guy in front of you.
You have to learn the where the turn in, apex, and exit point of each corner is.

As you learn these points, you get faster in the corners, as we get faster in the corners, the whole track becomes faster....

You should have came you would have had fun.

I would have came if I could but I have class. I get to drive a 305 sprint car next season and some training beforehand would be nice.

That's awesome. I hope we get a bunch of people next year.

There is a guy that is on here from time to time and on other forums. He and I are going to look into team racing either a 4th gen or gen camaro.... He just got licensed, I still have to get mine.

OK, finally getting ready to leave the house. leaving in about 10 minutes

Wise I could have come. It would have really helped me in autocross and simply everyday driving. Gotta get my teach on though! Future Camaro drivers are very important to me!

4 weeks?! Wow. I need to vacation with you and the misses! I don't eat too much, and I could probably fold up into someone's suitcase. I'm flexible! I already need another vacation so whenever you guys decide to go, you know where to find me.

The track day was a blast even with the wet conditions. Having a car slide around at speed is still fun even if the speed wasn't as fast as it would have been on a dry day. Who knew a V6 car could break the tires loose and get sideways in 4th gear?

Even the skid car was fun. I need to get me one of those and a big parking lot.

My brother said he should have the video edited by the end of the week, so I'll post that up as soon as he finishes. The track workers told him they could sneak through the fence where there was a hole, so I'm hoping he got some good footage that wasn't hindered by the fence.

Well sweetie... We take our travel trailer so you technically wouldn't have to fold up anywhere unless that's your thing! Next summers trips will be be me, the misses and a baby!

Our 4 week trip was last September, we did all of Rte 66, Chicago to LA. About 300 miles a day. Spent 3 days at Grand Canyon, 5 days in California, quick stop in Vegas then 4 days to go 2000 miles back home. Total trip was 7500 miles on the truck with an average on the trip of a whopping 9 mpg! Trip of a lifetime!

Had a blast at the track day. It was a great learning experience, even for those who think they wouldn't learn anything, it is nice to have someone giving you pointers on how to make it around fast and safe.

You would have had a blast. Lots of rear ends coming around on the track today. I'm sure I entertained Heinzd (behind me) as I breaking loose every time I hit the gas. Was a good learning day. Put us on a dry track tomorrow and we'd be fearless.

Was a good thing we all came home undamaged. Oh, I heard someone had green rubber in their wheel well. lol I know I killed my share of cones today.
The instructors even said they were surprised nobody ended up in the grass. Guess we didn't try hard enough.

Glad everyone had a good time and came home without any damages. That always makes for a good track day!! Sucks about the weather though, it was so nice down here yesterday. Great car wash day.

Nice! I would love to do some traveling out west. Never been out that far, but I've always wanted to do R66, Pacific Highway, etc. Heck, I'd love to LIVE out there. No snow would mean no winter beater Jeep. I'd be a happy girl!
